Oakley Ballistic Shocktube Tactical Sunglasses — Matte Black, Clear Prizm, 61mm — MIL-grade protection, interchangeable lenses

Oakley OO9329 SI Ballistic Shocktube are military-grade sunglasses with a two-piece jaw design and clear Prizm lenses for maximum impact protection and everyday wearability.

Built to meet stringent ballistic and optical requirements, the Oakley SI Shocktube blends tactical strength with a streamlined profile. The matte black frame and clear lenses suit low-visibility and indoor scenarios while Oakley’s engineering—lightweight O-Matter material, interchangeable lenses, and an Unobtanium nosepiece—keeps the design practical for high-intensity use. Included accessories and compliance with MIL PRF 32432 standards make this pair an option for professionals who need reliable eye protection without sacrificing comfort.

How does the Shocktube provide ballistic protection?

The Shocktube uses a two-piece upper and lower jaw construction that increases coverage across the eye socket and deflects high-velocity impacts. Oakley designed the frame geometry and lens interface to meet MIL PRF 32432 impact and optical tests, giving consistent protection under demanding conditions. The thin yet durable O-Matter frame maintains shape under stress while absorbing shock.

• Dual-jaw frame for extended facial coverage
• Meets MIL PRF 32432 ballistic and optical standards
• O-Matter material resists cracking and deformation
• Secure lens seating to prevent dislodgement on impact

Can I swap lenses and what tools are included?

Lens changes are straightforward and designed for field use: the frame accepts quick lens extraction and installation so you can adapt to different light or mission needs. A small hex-key is included to help lock or release lens components without specialized equipment. Oakley’s mounting system keeps replacement lenses secure while still allowing fast serviceability.

• Simple lens removal and installation with included hex-key
• Compatibility with Oakley clear Prizm lenses and other approved optics
• Tool included for on-the-go swaps and maintenance
• Stable locking points minimize lens movement

What comfort features help during long wear?

Comfort is balanced with performance: the frame uses lightweight O-Matter, and an Unobtanium nosepiece increases grip as you sweat, reducing slippage. Thin temple arms lower bulk under helmets or headgear, and the overall shape is trimmed to stay close to the face without pressure points. This makes the Shocktube suitable for extended duty cycles and dynamic activity.

• Unobtanium nosepiece improves grip when perspiring
• Thin ear stems fit under helmets and communication headsets
• Lightweight O-Matter construction for all-day wearability
• Balanced weight distribution to minimize fatigue

How do the lenses perform in low light?

The clear Prizm lenses included here transmit about 89% of visible light, making them well-suited to dim indoor and low-light conditions. Oakley coatings filter 100% of UVA, UVB, UVC, and harmful blue light up to 400 nm, reducing glare and visual strain while preserving accurate color and contrast. The optical design retains sharp clarity across peripheral views to help maintain situational awareness.

• Clear Prizm lenses allow high visible light transmission (~89%)
• Full UV protection up to 400 nm for long-term eye comfort
• High Definition Optics for crisp, low-distortion vision
• Coatings resist smudges and aid easy cleaning
