OutdoorMaster Kids Ski Helmet, Matte Grey, Size 48-52cm X-Small — Lightweight, ASTM F2040

This helmet is made for young skiers and snowboarders who need reliable head protection without bulk. It combines an in-mold polycarbonate shell with high-density EPS foam to absorb shocks while staying light enough for a child to wear all day. The gray XS version fits smaller head sizes and includes an easy-to-turn dial, removable fleece liners, and multiple vents to manage temperature when they’re on the slopes.

How does the helmet protect my child during falls?

The helmet uses an in-mold construction that bonds the tough outer shell to inner EPS foam so impact energy spreads across a larger area and is absorbed more effectively. It meets ASTM F2040 safety standards, providing a verified baseline for recreational snow sports use. The design reduces localized forces from drops and collisions.

• Polycarbonate outer shell for durable impact resistance
• High-density EPS foam for shock absorption
• ASTM F2040 compliance for recreational snow sports
• Lightweight build to reduce neck strain in young users

Will my child stay comfortable and warm all day?

Comfort is addressed with a soft chin strap, detachable fleece liners, and plush earmuffs that add warmth without bulk. The interior materials are washable to keep sweat and odor under control after frequent use. Removable components make drying and cleaning straightforward between outings.

• Detachable super-soft fleece liners and earmuffs
• Soft chin band to prevent irritation under the jaw
• Washable liners for hygiene and odor control
• Plush padding that maintains comfort over long sessions

How does the helmet handle temperature and airflow?

Twelve strategically placed vents keep air moving through the helmet so cold air can enter and warm air can escape, helping to avoid overheating during active play. A moisture-wicking netted mesh cap inside helps move sweat away from the head for faster evaporation. This combination balances insulation with breathability on varying slope conditions.

• 12 air vents for consistent airflow across the helmet
• Moisture-wicking netted mesh cap to reduce dampness
• Vent placement designed to channel hot air upward and out
• Works with or without goggles to maintain ventilation

Is sizing and fit easy to adjust for growing kids?

Yes—an integrated rear dial lets you fine-tune the fit quickly and securely so the helmet sits properly as your child’s head changes. The XS size is tailored for smaller heads, and a rear snap keeps goggles locked in place so straps won’t shift during activity. A snug face-to-helmet profile improves safety and comfort.

• Adjustable dial-fit system for incremental changes
• Rear goggle-strap snap to secure eyewear in place
• XS sizing for toddlers and small children
• Designed to maintain proper coverage across the forehead and back of head
