Pelican adjustable kayak foot braces — set of 2 trigger-lock pegs, black, quick-release micro-adjustment

Pelican's adjustable kayak foot braces are a pair of trigger-lock foot pegs that let paddlers quickly set and fine-tune foot position for improved comfort and control in sit-in kayaks.

These foot braces come as a set of two and are designed to fit most sit-in kayak cockpits. With a simple trigger-lock mechanism and multiple mounting positions, they offer a quick way to dial in leg support without tools once installed. The kit includes hardware for straightforward attachment to your kayak's rails or pre-drilled footwell area, making them a practical upgrade for recreational outings or longer paddle sessions.

How do these foot braces make paddling more comfortable?

Adjustable foot pegs let you position your feet where they provide the best leverage and reduce strain on legs and lower back. The trigger lock allows micro-adjustments while seated, so you can find the sweet spot for different strokes or changing water conditions.

• Multiple mounting offsets for a custom distance from the seat
• Trigger-lock adjustment for on-the-fly length changes
• Contoured peg surface for stable foot contact

Will these fit my sit-in kayak and how hard are they to install?

The braces are made for sit-in kayaks and include mounting hardware intended to attach to common footwell rails or screw points. Installation is straightforward for most kayaks; you may need basic tools to secure the brackets, then the pegs snap and lock into place.

• Comes with hardware for typical rail or screw mounting
• Designed specifically for sit-in kayak cockpits, not sit-on-tops
• Clear trigger-lock operation reduces installation adjustments

How does the trigger lock work and why is it useful on the water?

The trigger lock is a release-and-slide mechanism that lets you move the foot peg forward or backward while seated; releasing the trigger secures the peg in the desired position. This system provides fast, repeatable adjustments so you can adapt seating geometry for paddling efficiency or comfort without exiting the kayak.

• Quick-release trigger for rapid repositioning
• Positive locking for secure foot placement during strokes
• Simple one-handed operation while seated

What materials and durability can I expect from Pelican foot pegs?

Pelican builds these braces with durable plastics and corrosion-resistant hardware suitable for freshwater and light saltwater use when rinsed after exposure. The construction balances sturdiness with a weight-conscious design so they add minimal bulk to your kayak interior.

• Robust plastic pegs and brackets for everyday use
• Stainless or coated fasteners to resist corrosion
• Compact profile that suits a wide range of cockpit sizes

Who is this for? These adjustable Pelican foot braces are aimed at recreational and touring sit-in kayakers who want a simple, reliable way to improve leg support and paddling posture. They are especially useful if you share a kayak with paddlers of different heights or want a quick way to fine-tune foot position on longer trips. If you paddle a sit-on-top kayak, this product is not intended for that hull type.
