PETZL Caritool harness tool holder, Multicolor, Size Large — unisex, one-handed access & stabilizing clip

The PETZL Caritool is a harness-mounted tool holder that lets climbers select and return tools with one hand while staying securely attached by a stabilizing clip.

The Caritool is a compact, purpose-built carrier that fits through harness webbing and keeps tools organized and accessible during climbing, rescue, or work-at-height tasks. Its open upper section groups items for quick grabs, a top hole accepts a tether for lanyarding critical tools, and a gate with an anti-snag feature reduces accidental catches. Available in two sizes, the Caritool balances easy reach with secure retention so you can focus on the job without fumbling for gear.

How does the Caritool let me use tools with one hand?

Its shape and gate design are optimized so you can slide tools in and out using a single hand while the carrier remains attached to the harness. The wide opening and organized upper area position items for predictable retrieval.

• Open upper compartment groups tools for straightforward access
• Gate geometry allows single-handed extraction and return
• Top attachment hole supports tethers to keep essential tools connected

Will the Caritool stay put on my harness during movement?

Yes — the Caritool is made to thread through harness straps and is fitted with a stabilizing clip that locks it in place. That clip reduces spinning and shifting, keeping tools oriented and easy to reach while you move.

• Slips between harness webbing for a low-profile fit
• Stabilizing clip secures the holder against rotation and bounce
• Durable construction tolerates regular use in dynamic situations

Can I tether tools to the Caritool for added safety?

The Caritool includes a dedicated hole at the top for attaching tool tethers or lanyards, allowing you to keep vital items connected and prevent drops. This feature is useful for small hand tools and instruments that must never be lost on a job.

• Top hole accepts carabiners, tethers, or shock-absorbing lanyards
• Great for securing measuring devices, knives, or screwdrivers
• Helps meet workplace drop-prevention practices without bulk

How does the Caritool organize different equipment types?

The upper portion of the holder is shaped to group items so each tool has predictable positioning, simplifying fast picks and returns. The overall layout is minimal yet purposeful to avoid snagging and clutter on the harness.

• Upper grouping area keeps similar tools together for speed
• Compact footprint minimizes interference with other gear
• Gate protection reduces accidental catches on clothing or webbing
