Proster Lensatic Sighting Compass with Clinometer, Black Compass, IP65 Waterproof, Luminous Dial

Proster Lensatic Sighting Compass IP65 is a heavy-duty metal lensatic compass with a built-in clinometer and luminous dial designed for precise bearings in wet, low-light, and rugged outdoor conditions.

Built for field navigation, the Proster Lensatic Sighting Compass combines a sighting telescope, adjustable prism lens, and a clinometer in a compact foldable metal body with IP65 water resistance. The floating 360° dial and luminous markings let you take bearings day or night, while the clinometer measures slope and height. Packaged with a protective carrying bag, this compass is engineered for camping, hiking, hunting, surveying, and other outdoor uses where accuracy and durability matter.

How does the sighting telescope improve navigation accuracy?

The integrated sighting telescope with a vertical lubber line lets you align distant landmarks and read precise bearings through the prism lens, reducing parallax and human error. This system helps you confirm bearings over long distances and during route planning.

• Adjustable prism lens for clearer readouts
• Vertical lubber line improves alignment with distant targets
• Foldable metal lid protects optics in transit
• Floating dial minimizes needle stick and vibration effects

Can I use this compass at night or in bad weather?

Yes—luminous markings on the magnet arrow and compass card glow after exposure to sunlight, enabling easier reading in low light. The IP65 water-resistant build and shakeproof mechanism mean the compass continues to function reliably in rain, splashes, and damp conditions.

• Fluorescent needle and dial for nighttime navigation
• IP65 rating resists water jets and dust ingress
• Robust metal housing tolerates rough handling
• Floating dial resists shock and preserves accuracy

What measurements can the clinometer provide in the field?

The integrated clinometer measures slope angles and can be used to estimate heights of objects using basic trigonometry. It’s useful for assessing incline on trails, estimating tree or tower heights, and planning safe routes on uneven terrain.

• Direct slope-angle readings in degrees
• Height estimation using known baseline distance and angle
• Quick field checks for avalanche or erosion-prone slopes
• Compact, always-onboard tool—no separate clinometer required

How portable and durable is this compass for outdoor adventures?

The Proster Lensatic Compass weighs around 330 g and folds into a compact shape that fits its included carrying bag. Constructed from metal with a protective cover and shock-resistant dial, it’s built to survive backpacks, pockets, and harsh environments during extended outdoor use.

• Foldable metal lid for lens and dial protection
• Carrying bag for secure transport and quick access
• Shakeproof mechanism retains needle stability on the move
• Corrosion-resistant finish for long-term field use

Who is this for: The Proster Lensatic Sighting Compass is aimed at outdoor professionals and enthusiasts who need dependable, precise bearings and slope measurement without relying on electronics. Ideal for hikers, climbers, hunters, surveyors, geologists, boaters, and emergency preppers, it’s a tool for anyone navigating remote or rugged terrain where durability and clear readings are essential.
