Retrospec Zephyr Ski & Snowboard Helmet, Matte White, Size S, M, L, XL — Mens & Womens Adjustable Fit, 9 Vents

The Retrospec Zephyr is a lightweight, fully formed ABS ski and snowboard helmet with EPS foam, an adjustable ErgoKnob fit system, nine vents and removable ear pads for comfortable, confident days on the mountain.

The Zephyr blends durable impact materials with breathable design and quick-fit adjustability so recreational and intermediate riders can focus on runs instead of gear. Built with a hard ABS outer shell and energy-absorbing EPS foam, the helmet prioritizes on-slope protection while offering practical controls like a glove-friendly BreezeBar for venting and a rear ErgoKnob dial to fine-tune fit. Removable, washable ear pads and a secure goggle clip complete a package intended for full-day comfort across changing weather and activity levels.

How does the Zephyr manage temperature during long runs?

The Zephyr uses nine strategically placed vents to move air through the helmet and reduce overheating when you push pace. The glove-friendly BreezeBar lets you open or close airflow without removing gloves so adjustments are quick and safe on chairlifts or at the top of a run.

• Nine vents channel air to balance warmth and cooling during varied activity.
• BreezeBar operates easily with gloves for instant ventilation changes.
• Removable ear pads let you switch to a cooler setup when temperatures rise.

Is the fit secure and adjustable for different head shapes?

The ErgoKnob dial system at the rear provides micro-adjustable tension so the helmet stays snug without pressure points. Sizing follows common circumference ranges and the dial lets you refine the fit after putting on goggles and a neck gaiter.

• ErgoKnob offers quick, one-handed tightening and loosening on the slopes.
• Sizing ranges: S 52–55.5 cm, M 55.5–59 cm, L 59–62 cm for accurate selection.
• Adjustable fit works well with helmets worn over thin liners or thicker beanies.

What safety construction does this helmet use?

The helmet combines a robust ABS outer shell with EPS foam lining to absorb and distribute impact energy. This construction is common in reliable snow helmets and balances toughness with weight control for everyday alpine use.

• Fully formed ABS outer shell resists outer impacts and abrasion.
• Internal EPS foam cushions and dissipates forces from impacts.
• Secure goggle clip helps keep eyewear in place during falls or steep terrain.

How do you care for the Zephyr's removable components?

Exterior and structural materials require light cleaning with a damp cloth, while ear pads are removable and hand-washable to refresh sweat-prone areas. Regular inspection of the shell and liner ensures ongoing performance and fit integrity.

• Hand-wash ear pads and air-dry to maintain shape and hygiene.
• Wipe shell and vents with mild soap and water; avoid harsh chemicals.
• Check the ErgoKnob and goggle clip for tightness before each season.

Who is this for: The Retrospec Zephyr is aimed at adult skiers and snowboarders seeking a dependable, budget-friendly helmet that doesn’t sacrifice ventilation or fit adjustability. It’s well suited for recreational riders, weekend resort visitors, and anyone upgrading from a basic shell who wants removable ear pads, a goggle clip, and easy one-handed vent control. If you want a straightforward, durable helmet that adapts to changing conditions and headwear choices, the Zephyr covers those needs without excess bulk.
