Safe Sport Gear HouseHoops Soft Basketball, Size 6, Foam Exterior with TrueTouch Texture and Quieter Bounce

Safe Sport Gear's HouseHoops Soft Basketball is a size 6, indoor-friendly ball with a foam exterior that delivers realistic feel and bounce while protecting floors and walls.

This lightweight, inflatable foam basketball was designed for indoor practice, teaching sessions, and quiet play. It combines TrueTouch surface texture with a softer core so players — especially kids and beginners — can develop dribbling, passing, and shooting skills without the loud noise or the scuff marks that traditional rubber balls can leave behind. Built to perform like a standard basketball but with gentler impact, the HouseHoops ball lets you train in hallways, gyms, classrooms, or living rooms.

How does the HouseHoops ball feel compared to a regular basketball?

The HouseHoops uses a foam-covered construction and TrueTouch technology to reproduce the grip and response of a real ball while reducing weight and hardness. You still get the textured panels and rebound needed for skill work, but with smoother landings and less force on contact points.

• Textured foam surface for improved grip and tactile feedback
• Inflatable inner bladder to maintain consistent bounce
• Reduced weight for easier handling and control
• Quieter impact on floors and walls during play

Will it scratch floors or damage walls during indoor play?

The foam exterior and softer construction minimize scuffs and marks compared with hard rubber or composite outdoor balls. While no ball is entirely risk-free on delicate surfaces, HouseHoops is engineered to be non-scuffing in typical indoor environments.

• Soft foam reduces abrasive contact with hardwood and painted surfaces
• Gentler bounce decreases rebound force against walls
• Recommended for supervised indoor use on sealed floors and low-friction walls

Is this ball suitable for training young players and beginners?

Yes — the ball is aimed at developing players. Its size 6 profile and lighter feel help kids learn ball handling, footwork, and passing without the strain of a heavy competition ball. Coaches and parents often choose it for drills and introductory sessions.

• Size 6 fits many youth and recreational players
• Soft rebound supports repetitive drills with lower fatigue
• Durable foam withstands regular indoor practice
• Easy to inflate and maintain consistent air pressure

How should I care for and store the HouseHoops soft basketball?

Proper care prolongs performance. Keep the ball clean and dry, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, and store it at room temperature when not in use. Check inflation periodically to preserve the intended feel and bounce.

• Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap if dirty
• Avoid contact with sharp objects and abrasive surfaces
• Store indoors away from extreme heat or cold
• Use a standard pump with a needle to maintain recommended pressure

It suits children learning fundamentals, recreational players practicing at home, and instructors running drills in gyms or multipurpose spaces where floor and wall protection matters.
