Salomon running SOFT FLASK 500ml Clear Blue – lightweight collapsible bottle, 42mm wide opening for runners

The Salomon SOFT FLASK 500ml is a lightweight, collapsible running bottle designed to deliver easy sips on the move while shrinking as you drink to reduce bounce and bulk.

Whether you train for trail races, go for daily runs, or need a compact hydration option for outdoor adventures, this 500ml soft flask blends practical engineering with low weight. Its clear blue material and 42mm wide opening let you refill quickly, add ice, and inspect contents, while the high-flow valve provides swift drinks without fumbling for a cap. Constructed without BPA or PVC and using primarily thermoplastic polyurethane, it prioritizes safety and durability for repeated use.

How does the soft flask stay stable during runs?

The soft flask’s compressible shape is engineered to collapse as fluid is consumed, which reduces sloshing and keeps the bottle from bouncing inside pockets or vests. Because the reservoir shrinks with volume, it remains compact and close to your body, improving balance and comfort on uneven terrain.

• Semi-rigid opening maintains shape for easy reinsertion after sipping.
• Flattening design reduces internal movement and noise.
• Lightweight construction minimizes added load for long distances.

Can I drink quickly without stopping my run?

Yes — the Salomon SOFT FLASK uses a high-flow valve that allows fast, controlled sips even while moving. The valve is intuitive to operate and delivers a steady stream without the need to unscrew tops, so you can hydrate without interrupting your pace.

• High-flow valve supports short, efficient drinks on the go.
• Leak-resistant design reduces spills when closed.
• Wide 42mm opening makes filling or adding ice fast between stages.

Is the flask easy to fill and clean?

The large 42mm mouth simplifies refilling from bottles, hydration stations, or taps and makes adding ice cubes straightforward. Materials and a simple shape mean cleaning is fast — rinse, dry, and store — and the absence of BPA and PVC gives peace of mind about what touches your drink.

• 42mm opening for quick refills and easy ice insertion.
• Smooth interior with few creases reduces residue buildup.
• Compatible with Salomon caps and replacement valves for longevity.

What materials are used and are they safe?

The flask is made from a blend of 55% thermoplastic polyurethane, 35% polyoxymethylene, and 10% silicone, and it is certified free from BPA and PVC. These materials balance flexibility, durability, and taste neutrality so your water stays fresh without plastic aftertaste.

• 55% TPU for flexible, tear-resistant body.
• 35% polyoxymethylene for sturdy connection points and durability.
• 10% silicone for a soft high-flow valve that’s comfortable to drink from.
