SHIMANO 105 11-speed road cassette, 11 - 30 teeth, Silver single spider arm for smooth shifting

The Shimano 105 CS-R7000 is an 11-speed road cassette (11–30t) engineered for smooth, reliable gear changes and light overall weight.

This CS-R7000 cassette is part of Shimano’s 105 groupset family, built to deliver dependable performance for training rides, group outings, and weekend events. Finished in silver, it matches common road drivetrains and keeps cassette thickness consistent with 10-speed Shimano spacing, simplifying upgrades. Key construction highlights include a multi-plate design with a single spider arm to balance strength and weight.

How will this cassette affect shifting performance?

The CS-R7000 provides crisp gear transitions across an 11–30 tooth spread, allowing close ratios in the middle gears and taller top gears for descents. The ramps and tooth profiling are optimized for modern 11-speed Shimano derailleurs, reducing missed shifts under load.

• 11-speed compatibility for precise index shifting
• 11–30t range for versatile climbing and speed options
• Tooth ramping and profiling for smoother chain engagement
• Single spider arm improves lateral stiffness without excess weight

Will this cassette fit my current Shimano drivetrain?

CS-R7000 is designed to work with Shimano 11-speed road rear derailleurs and 11-speed chains. Its overall cassette thickness matches Shimano 10-speed standards in key dimensions, which can make it straightforward to switch from some older setups—but always check freehub and derailleur compatibility before installing.

• Compatible with Shimano 11-speed road rear derailleurs and shifters
• Same cassette thickness alignment as many 10-speed Shimano cassettes
• Fits standard Shimano/SRAM 11-speed freehubs (confirm hub standard first)
• May require derailleur limit adjustments after installation

What are the construction and durability highlights?

The cassette uses hardened steel cogs and a lightweight spider arm to balance longevity and weight savings. High-contact cogs are optimized for wear resistance while keeping the overall cassette compact and serviceable for routine chain-and-cog maintenance.

• Hardened steel sprockets for durable engagement and extended life
• Single spider arm (quantity: 1) for structural support and weight reduction
• Silver finish for corrosion resistance and aesthetic integration
• Design tailored for long-term, consistent shifting under typical road use

How does the 11–30 gear range help with riding terrain?

An 11–30t spread provides a good balance between close progression and easier climbing gears. It’s a solid choice for riders who want lower gears for sustained climbs without sacrificing the ability to maintain speed on flats and descents.

• 11t smallest cog for maintaining higher cadence at speed
• 30t largest cog for easier climbing and reduced strain on steep grades
• Evenly stepped cogs for predictable cadence changes
• Useful for varied terrain and mixed pace group rides

Who this cassette is for: The Shimano 105 CS-R7000 11–30t is aimed at road cyclists seeking a durable, well-balanced 11-speed cassette that pairs with Shimano 11-speed systems. It’s appropriate for committed amateurs, club riders, and cyclists upgrading from older setups who want reliable shifting, a practical gear spread for mixed terrain, and a component that balances weight with longevity.
