SIGTUNA Folding Bike Lock 8mm Hardened Steel, Yellow - Fold-Up Heavy Duty with Anti-Scratch Coating

The SIGTUNA Folding Bike Lock is an 8mm hardened-steel fold-up lock that combines compact portability with heavy-duty security and a scratch-protecting coating.

This lock folds small for easy carrying, expands to secure most bike frames and wheels, and uses hardened steel bars and rivets to resist cutting and leverage attacks. Designed for commuters, e-bike riders and anyone who values damage-free protection, the SIGTUNA fold-up lock balances strength, convenience and weather resistance so your bike stays put without scuffed paintwork.

How does this fold-up lock protect a bike compared with a cable or U-lock?

The SIGTUNA fold-up design uses multiple articulated 8mm steel bars and reinforced rivets to create a rigid barrier that’s harder to slice than a cable and more compact than many U-locks. It reduces weak points by locking in several pivoted segments, and the hardened steel resists common hand tools. Unlike thin cables, the fold-up profile gives you a versatile shape to wrap around frames, wheels and fixed objects.

• Hardened 8mm steel bars and rivets for cut resistance
• Multiple folding segments to lock around irregular anchors
• More flexible than a rigid U-lock; stronger than a cable

How easy is it to mount, carry and use every day?

SIGTUNA includes simple mounting options so you can attach the lock to your bike frame or bottle-cage area for daily use. Rubberized anti-slip Velcro straps or a screw-fastened bracket let you choose a secure carry method, and the compact folded shape fits backpacks or panniers comfortably. Assembly takes only minutes and the folding action unfolds quickly when you need to secure your bike.

• Mount via Velcro straps or screw-fastened bottle-cage bracket
• Compact folded size fits bags and mounts cleanly on frames
• Quick assembly and unfolding for everyday convenience

Will this lock damage my paint or withstand outdoor conditions?

The lock is finished with a soft, anti-scratch coating that protects your bike’s paint where the lock contacts the frame. Waterproof and rust-resistant construction increases longevity for year-round outdoor use. Together, the protective coating and corrosion-resistant materials preserve both appearance and function over time.

• Soft plastic casting prevents frame scratches and abrasions
• Waterproof and rust-proof treatment for longer life
• Robust finish that maintains looks while securing the bike

What convenience and security features should I expect?

The SIGTUNA fold-up lock includes thoughtful features to balance usability with theft resistance: an anti-pick locking mechanism, broad folding radius to secure two bikes or large posts, and hardened components for resilience. These elements reduce common vulnerabilities without adding unnecessary bulk.

• Anti-lock-picking design for improved key security
• Large folding radius secures two bikes or thick poles
• Hardened components certified for enhanced protection

Who is this for: Riders who want a compact yet strong lock that protects paint while offering flexible mounting and weather-resistant performance. Ideal for urban commuters, e-bike owners, and cyclists who need an everyday lock that’s easier to carry than a heavy U-lock but more secure than a cable.
