Smart Marine 24" x 14" Boat Deck Hatch Cover, White, ABS Low-Profile with 180° Hinge and Weatherproof Seal

Smart Marine's 24" x 14" boat deck hatch cover is a low‑profile ABS access lid with two recessed handles, a weatherproof seal, and a 180° hinge for durable, secure storage access on boats, yachts, and RVs.

This rectangular 24" x 14" Smart Marine hatch combines corrosion‑resistant ABS construction with a non‑skid surface and recessed dual handles to give boat owners a practical, long‑lasting access point for deck or cabin compartments. The lid includes a rubber seal to keep out moisture, a 180° hinge range for easy opening and locking, and 12 predrilled fastening holes for straightforward installation either horizontally or vertically. It’s built for marine environments where UV exposure, salt spray, and repeated use demand tough materials and a tight fit.

How does this hatch resist corrosion and sun damage?

The hatch is molded from high‑quality ABS plastic formulated for marine use, providing natural resistance to rust and most chemical degradation. UV‑stabilized additives reduce fading and embrittlement so the lid stays functional and attractive for longer in direct sunlight.

• ABS material resists corrosion and is lightweight for deck mounting.
• UV‑resistant formulation minimizes discoloration and aging.
• Durable construction tolerates salt and moisture exposure.

Will it keep water and debris out of my storage spaces?

The hatch includes an integrated rubber seal strip that compresses when the lid is closed, creating a weatherproof barrier against splashes and dust. The recessed handles and low‑profile design reduce water pooling and snagging on deck, improving protection for stored items.

• Rubber gasket for weatherproof closure.
• Low‑profile lid reduces water accumulation on deck.
• Recessed handles maintain a flush surface to limit leaks.

How easy is installation and use on a boat or RV?

Installation is straightforward thanks to 12 mounting holes that allow secure fastening and the option to mount the hatch either vertically or horizontally. The lid hinges through 180° for full access to the compartment, and the dual recessed handles offer a comfortable grip for opening even in cramped areas.

• 12 predrilled fastening holes for secure mounting.
• Can be installed vertically or horizontally to suit layout.
• 180° hinge travel for full compartment access.
• Dual recessed handles for consistent, ergonomic operation.

What maintenance and warranty support are provided?

Maintenance is minimal: rinse with fresh water after salt exposure and check fasteners periodically. Smart Marine stands behind the handle hardware — if a handle fails under normal use within six months, they offer a free replacement to keep your hatch working reliably.

• Simple rinsing prevents salt buildup and prolongs life.
• Periodic fastener checks keep the seal effective.
• 6‑month handle replacement guarantee for normal use.

Who is this for: The Smart Marine 24" x 14" deck hatch is intended for boat and RV owners who need a durable, low‑profile access point for lockers, storage compartments, and utility spaces. It fits owners prioritizing weather resistance, easy installation, and a non‑slip deck surface, whether fitting new builds, refits, or simple upgrades to existing hatches.
