SMITH 4D MAG Snow Goggles, Black, Size Medium with ChromaPop Sun Blue Mirror — Magnetic Lens, Wide Field of View

SMITH 4D MAG Snow Goggles are large-fit, magnetic-lens ski and snowboard goggles engineered for an expanded field of view, high-contrast ChromaPop optics, and fast lens changes in variable light.

These goggles combine Smith’s BirdsEye curved-lens geometry and spherical optics to increase peripheral vision while keeping images sharp and undistorted. The MAG magnetic lens system plus a secondary mechanical lock makes swapping lenses quick and secure, and ChromaPop lens treatments boost color and definition on bright sun or flat light days. Built with a TPU frame, padded foam, and a wide silicone-backed strap, the 4D MAG XL is tuned for comfort, helmet integration, and all-day wear.

How do these goggles improve my field of vision on the mountain?

Smith’s 4D lens shape expands the visible area, especially toward the lower edge, so you see more of the slope and surroundings without moving your head. The spherical lens construction maintains optical clarity across the broader view to reduce distortion.

• 25% wider field of view compared with standard lenses
• Lower-curved lens edge for better downhill sightlines
• Spherical optics for consistent sharpness across the lens
• Improved peripheral awareness for terrain and other riders

What makes the magnetic MAG lens-change system reliable?

The MAG system pairs seven weather-resistant magnets with a patented mechanical locking mechanism so lenses snap into precise alignment and stay locked under load. Two side levers release the lens quickly while the dual-lock keeps it secure during aggressive riding.

• Seven embedded magnets for guided, accurate placement
• Dual locking mechanism prevents unintended lens release
• Fast single-handed swaps to adapt to changing light
• Durable components designed for cold, wet conditions

Which lenses come with these goggles and when should I use each?

The included Sun Black ChromaPop mirror lens is geared for bright, sunny days and high-glare slopes, while the lower-light ChromaPop option enhances contrast in overcast or snowy conditions. Both lenses are treated to resist smudges and moisture for easier maintenance.

• Sun Black ChromaPop (S3) — optimal for clear, high-glare conditions
• Bad-weather ChromaPop (S1) — improves detail in flat, cloudy light
• Coatings reduce fogging, smudges, and water bead-up
• Quick swap lets you carry the right lens for a full day on the hill

How comfortable and compatible are these goggles with helmets?

The 4D MAG XL uses a TPU frame and a PU/PE foam blend designed for a secure, comfortable seal without pressure points. The ultra-wide strap with silicone backing and QuickFit adjuster holds the goggle in place and integrates cleanly with most Smith helmets for consistent venting and fit.

• TPU frame and soft foam for cushioned comfort and seal
• Ultra-wide, silicone-backed strap prevents slippage on helmets
• QuickFit strap adjustment for fast, precise tensioning
• Designed to work with Smith helmets for optimal vent alignment

Who is this for: The SMITH 4D MAG XL is aimed at riders with larger facial dimensions who want maximum visual coverage, quick lens adaptability, and premium optics. It suits skiers and snowboarders who demand clear, distortion-free views at speed and need an easy lens-change system for shifting weather. If you wear larger helmets or prefer a roomy goggle fit with advanced lens technology and dependable venting, the 4D MAG XL is built to perform.
