SMITH Reason OTG Snow Goggles, Black, RC36 — OTG fit, anti-fog ventilation

The SMITH Reason OTG Snow Goggles RC36 in Black are over-the-glasses goggles engineered to deliver fog-resistant, helmet-compatible protection and all-day comfort for riders who wear prescription eyewear.

Designed with larger face shapes and eyewear users in mind, the Reason OTG brings Smith's proven ventilation and fit technologies to a goggle that works with everyday glasses and prescription inserts. It balances optical clarity, compatibility with Smith's ODS (optical docking system), and easy on-mountain adjustments so you can focus on the run instead of fidgeting with your gear.

How do these goggles keep my lenses fog-free in variable conditions?

The Reason OTG uses Smith's Airflow lens technology plus strategic venting to promote steady air circulation across the lens surface. That reduces moisture buildup while you sweat or when temperatures change, giving you longer periods of clear sight when you need it most.

• Integrated Airflow channels for active ventilation
• Anti-fog treated lens coatings
• Helmet-compatible vent paths to maintain consistent airflow

Will these goggles fit over my regular glasses and allow a prescription insert?

Yes—the Reason OTG is built specifically for over-the-glasses use, providing enough internal space for frames without adding pressure on the temples. It also accepts Smith’s optical docking system (ODS) insert so you can place prescription lenses closer to your eye for improved clarity.

• OTG-friendly frame volume to accommodate most eyeglass shapes
• Compatible with Smith ODS prescription lens inserts
• Floating foam membrane removes temple pressure from glasses

How comfortable and secure are these goggles during activity?

The Reason OTG pairs floating foam and a QuickFit strap adjustment to deliver a secure yet pressure-free fit. The foam conforms to facial contours for comfort, while the strap system lets you dial in tension quickly—ideal for changing helmets or when layering over balaclavas and hoods.

• Floating foam membrane that minimizes eyeglass temple pressure
• QuickFit strap adjustment for rapid, tool-free tightening or loosening
• Helmet-compatible shape designed to integrate with Smith helmets

What makes the Reason OTG a Smith goggle in terms of durability and integration?

Smith builds the Reason OTG with materials and design choices born from decades of mountain-tested innovation. The goggle’s frame geometry, venting strategy, and accessory compatibility are all tuned to integrate with Smith helmets and accessories for a cohesive system on the hill.

• Durable frame construction for repeated use in winter conditions
• Designed to pair with Smith helmets for optimized comfort and venting
• Longstanding brand expertise in performance eyewear since 1965
