SOG Adventurer LB 3 in Lock-Back Folding Knife, Blaze Orange/Black, CRYO 5CR15MOV Steel Blade, GRN Handle

The SOG Adventurer LB is a compact 3-inch lock‑back folding knife built for lightweight, everyday outdoor use with a corrosion‑resistant CRYO 5CR15MOV blade and grippy GRN handle.

Compact yet capable, the Adventurer LB blends a traditional lock‑back design with modern materials to deliver a dependable pocket knife for hiking, campsite tasks, and daily carry. The satin‑finished drop‑point blade balances slicing performance with a sturdy tip, while the glass‑reinforced nylon handle keeps overall weight low. Ambidextrous low‑carry clip placement and a simple, robust locking system make this a solid utility blade you can trust in varied conditions.

How reliable is the lock‑back mechanism during heavy use?

The lock‑back on the Adventurer LB uses a time‑proven spine lock that provides a secure, audible lockup when the blade is fully open, reducing the chance of accidental closure. Its simplicity also means fewer parts to fail and straightforward maintenance in the field.

• Solid, tactile lock engagement for user confidence
• Proven design with minimal moving parts
• Easy to inspect and maintain on the trail

Does the CRYO 5CR15MOV blade stand up to outdoor conditions?

CRYO 5CR15MOV stainless steel offers a balance of corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening, making it well suited to outdoor environments where moisture and dirt are common. Cryogenic hardening improves edge retention so the blade stays serviceable longer between touch‑ups.

• Satin finish helps resist rust and hides wear
• Cryo treatment enhances hardness and edge life
• Simple straight edge profile for easy maintenance

What makes the GRN handle practical for outdoor carry?

The handle is molded from glass‑reinforced nylon (GRN), which keeps the knife lightweight without sacrificing strength. Textured surfaces provide a secure grip in wet or cold conditions, and the compact shape favors pocket comfort during long treks.

• Lightweight yet impact‑resistant construction
• Textured grip for secure handling in all weather
• Ambidextrous clip placement for versatile carry options

How big and portable is the Adventurer LB for everyday carry?

With a 3.0" blade and a 7.5" overall length when open, this knife stays small enough for convenient pocket carry while offering practical cutting reach. Weighing just over 2 ounces, it won’t weigh down pack or pocket, making it an unobtrusive tool for daily tasks or outdoor adventures.

• Blade length: 3.0 inches — compact and useful
• Overall length: 7.5 inches when open
• Weight: 2.1 ounces for low‑bulk carry

Who is this for? The SOG Adventurer LB suits hikers, campers, and everyday carriers who want a classic, dependable folding knife without excess weight or complexity.
