Source Tactical WXP 3L Low-Profile Hydration Bladder Upgrade Kit — Coyote, Widepac & UTA Rapid Refill

Compact 3-liter low-profile hydration bladder by Source that delivers pure-tasting water, easy cleaning, and a rapid refill UTA adapter for tactical or outdoor packs.

The Source Tactical WXP 3L Low Profile Hydration System Upgrade Kit in Coyote swaps into existing packs to improve water taste, reduce maintenance, and increase reliability in the field. Built with Source's co-extruded PE film and Glass-Like/Grunge Guard surfaces, the bladder resists grime and preserves a fresh flavor. The package includes the UTA (Universal Tube Adaptor) for fast refilling directly through the drinking tube, plus a 90-degree Helix bite valve, tubing, and a wide-mouth Widepac closure for simplified cleaning and filling.

How does the WXP 3L keep water tasting fresh and avoid plastic flavors?

The reservoir uses Source’s co-extruded PE film and internal surface treatments that prevent residue buildup and minimize taste transfer. Those “Glass-Like” properties mean water contacts a nearly inert surface, and Grunge Guard helps resist dirt and biofilm between cleanings. Overall, the system aims to deliver a neutral-tasting drink without repeated flavor carryover common to lesser bladders.

• Co-extruded PE film reduces plastic taste compared to standard bladders.
• Glass-Like inner surface minimizes residue and bacterial film formation.
• Grunge Guard surface treatment slows dirt build-up for longer clean intervals.
• Widepac closure allows thorough rinsing and drying to maintain freshness.

What makes refilling and draining easier with this upgrade kit?

The WXP design features a wide-mouth Widepac closure for fast filling and a low-profile shape that slides into packs with minimal fuss. The included UTA Rapid Refill Adapter attaches to the drinking tube so you can refill from many bottles or taps without removing the reservoir. A 90-degree Helix bite valve and tubing route fluid smoothly and the Storm push-pull valve offers a twist-to-shut feature to prevent leaks during transport.

• Widepac wide-mouth opening for quick fills and easy cleaning access.
• UTA Rapid Refill Adapter enables refills through the tube from bottles or taps.
• Storm push-pull valve provides a secure twist-to-shut lock for transit.
• Low-profile 3L shape fits tactical and hydration-compatible packs neatly.

Is the WXP reservoir durable and safe for long-term use?

The bladder is made from rugged, co-extruded PE material that resists punctures and wear while remaining BPA-free to protect taste and safety. The wide-mouth design and smooth internal surfaces simplify cleaning, reducing the risk of long-term contamination. The system's components — bite valve, tubing, and closure — are engineered for repeated field use and straightforward maintenance.

• BPA-free construction retains neutral water taste and user safety.
• Co-extruded film provides long-term durability and puncture resistance.
• Components designed for replacement and easy maintenance in the field.
• Twist-to-shut valve prevents accidental leaks during storage or transport.

How does the UTA Rapid Refill Adapter change on-the-go resupply?

The UTA connects to the drinking tube so you can top up the reservoir directly from compatible bottles and taps without removing the bladder from the pack. It dramatically reduces refill time — for example, refilling from a 1.5L bottle can take roughly 50 seconds under typical conditions — and is compatible with a broad range of bottles and fixtures. This adapter is useful for fast resupply during patrols, hikes, or work rotations.

• Attaches to most bottles and taps to refill without bladder removal.
• Speeds refills — ~1.5L bottle in about 50 seconds under normal conditions.
• Compact, field-friendly design that stores on the tube when not in use.
• Reduces downtime and simplifies resupply in remote or tactical settings.
