Spyderco Endura 4 Pocket Knife — PlainEdge VG-10 Damascus Blade, Titanium Handles

The Spyderco Endura 4 PlainEdge is a lightweight, everyday folding knife that pairs a VG-10 core Damascus-clad blade with bead-blasted titanium handle scales and a reliable back-lock for secure, precise cutting.

The Endura 4 refines a long-running EDC platform into a premium folder built for daily use and display. It blends the corrosion resistance and edge retention of VG-10 steel with decorative Damascus patterning, while titanium scales reduce weight and improve durability. Thoughtful carry options and an ergonomic profile make it practical for a wide range of tasks, from campsite prep to opening boxes.

How does the blade construction affect cutting performance?

The Endura 4 uses a Damascus-clad D.P.S. 15 blade featuring a VG-10 steel core, delivering a balance of edge stability and corrosion resistance. The layered Damascus produces a distinctive patterned finish without compromising the functional properties provided by the VG-10 center. Together they offer dependable slicing and straightforward maintenance.

• VG-10 core for consistent edge retention and ease of sharpening
• 30 layers of patterned Damascus for visual appeal and surface hardness
• PlainEdge profile ideal for clean slicing, push cuts, and controlled utility work

What makes the handle both lightweight and sturdy?

Titanium handle scales are precision-machined and bead-blasted to reduce overall weight while resisting dents and scratches. A stainless steel back spacer and a strong back-lock mechanism add rigidity and secure blade retention under load. The shape and texturing deliver a secure grip even during repetitive cutting tasks.

• Bead-blasted titanium for low weight and durable surface finish
• Stainless back spacer for structural strength and alignment
• High-strength back-lock gives consistent blade lockup and safety

How versatile is its carry and everyday use?

The included polished stainless steel clip mounts in multiple positions for tip-up or tip-down, left- or right-side carry so you can set it to your preferred draw. Its slim profile and reduced weight make it comfortable in pocket or pack without feeling bulky. The robust, easily accessible thumb hole and smooth deployment support fast, one-handed opening in practical situations.

• Polished clip configurable for four carry orientations
• Large thumb hole for reliable one-handed opening
• Slim, ergonomic profile suitable for pocket carry and outdoor kits
