STAR BRITE Boat Guard Speed Detailer & Protectant 32 oz. High-Gloss UV Protection, Fast Wipe-On

STAR BRITE Boat Guard Speed Detailer & Protectant is a spray-on finish booster that delivers instant high-gloss shine and added UV resistance to marine surfaces with a fast wipe-off application.

Keep your boat looking fresh between full polishes with a product designed specifically for marine environments. This spray detailer blends polymer technology with a non-greasy formula to repel water and grime, restore gloss, and leave a subtle protective layer against sun damage. It works on fiberglass, painted finishes, polished metals, and other hard surfaces, making it a handy maintenance step after a day on the water or before storing your vessel.

How quickly will I see shine and how do I apply it?

You’ll get an immediate high-gloss finish after a simple spray-and-wipe routine—no heavy rubbing or compound needed. The formula haze-dries so you can buff it to a bright, streak-free luster in minutes, perfect for touch-ups.

• Spray directly onto the surface in 18" x 18" sections.
• Spread with a clean, soft cloth in circular motions.
• Wait for a light haze, then buff off with a second soft cloth.
• Safe for frequent use to maintain appearance between annual polishing.

Which materials is this detailer safe for on my boat?

The product is formulated to be compatible with common marine surfaces including fiberglass gelcoat, painted hulls, stainless and polished metals. It’s not intended for fabrics or glass—avoid overspray on those areas and remove immediately if contact occurs.

• Recommended: fiberglass, painted surfaces, plated or polished metals.
• Not recommended: fabric upholstery, clear glass without immediate wipe-off.
• When in doubt, test a small, inconspicuous area first.

What protection does it add and how long does it last?

This speed detailer imparts a protective polymer layer that helps block UV exposure and reduces water and dirt adhesion, extending the time between deep cleanings. While it enhances resistance to sun fading and soiling, it is a maintenance product—not a substitute for a full professional polish or yearly protective treatments.

• Provides UV-inhibiting polymers to slow sun damage.
• Repels water and grime for a cleaner surface longer.
• Best used regularly; pair with an annual polish for maximum protection.

Will it leave any residue or affect traction on deck surfaces?

The formulation is designed to be non-greasy and buff out cleanly, minimizing residue and helping preserve safe footing on hard boat surfaces. Apply sparingly on walking areas and wipe thoroughly to avoid any temporary slick spots.

• Non-greasy finish that buffs to a smooth, residue-free gloss.
• Wipe overspray from non-target areas immediately to prevent streaking or stains.
• Use light applications on horizontal surfaces where traction is critical.

Who is this for: STAR BRITE Boat Guard Speed Detailer is ideal for boat owners, skippers, and marina professionals who want quick, reliable cosmetic upkeep between deeper maintenance sessions. It fits perfectly into pre-launch checklists, post-trip touch-ups, and seasonal storage prep—especially useful for those who value time-saving products that still deliver a showroom look. If you maintain fiberglass, painted finishes, or polished metal on your vessel and want a fast, effective way to boost shine and add a layer of UV resistance, this product is built for you.
