STAR BRITE Soft Wash Deluxe 8" Brush, Yellow, Dual-Connection with Floating Rubber Bumper

The STAR BRITE Deluxe Soft Wash 8" Brush Head is an 8-inch, dual-connection boat and surface cleaning brush made with durable StarPrene fibers and a protective rubber bumper that floats if dropped.

Designed for boat owners, deck keepers, and outdoor maintenance pros, this brush head pairs resilient synthetic fibers with a user-friendly mounting system to make washing textured and non-skid surfaces easier and safer. Its StarPrene construction won’t stain, rot, or absorb odors and tolerates heat and common cleaners, while the thick rubber bumper protects gelcoat and painted surfaces from accidental scuffs during scrubbing.

How does this brush head attach to my existing pole?

The Deluxe Soft Wash 8" Brush Head offers two connection options so you can use it with most poles. It fits standard 3/4" threaded poles and also mates with West Marine quick-release poles and STAR BRITE Extend-A-Brush telescoping handles, eliminating the need for adapters in many setups.

• Compatible with 3/4" threaded handles
• Works with West Marine quick-release systems
• Direct fit to STAR BRITE telescoping Extend-A-Brush
• Dual-connection design speeds tool swaps

What makes StarPrene fibers better for cleaning boats and non-skid surfaces?

StarPrene is a lightweight polymer fiber engineered to resist staining, brittleness, and chemical breakdown; it also stands up to heat up to 200°F. The fiber structure dislodges heavy dirt and grime without shredding, making it ideal for textured decks, non-skid surfaces, and outdoor furniture where gentle but effective abrasion is required.

• Resists staining, mildew, and odors
• Withstands common cleaning chemicals and heat to 200°F
• Designed to lift heavy dirt from textured surfaces
• Does not become brittle or disintegrate in sun and saltwater

Will the brush damage my boat or vehicle finish?

The brush includes a thick, wrap-around rubber bumper to help prevent scuffs and accidental contact from leaving marks on gelcoat, paint, or metal trim. The soft fiber variant is specifically meant for delicate surfaces while still providing cleaning power; choose Medium or Heavy Duty if you need firmer scrubbing action for stubborn grime.

• Wrap-around rubber bumper prevents direct contact and scuffs
• Soft option for delicate gelcoat and painted finishes
• Medium and Heavy Duty available for tougher jobs
• Floating construction reduces loss if dropped overboard

How long will this brush last in marine conditions?

Built with a lightweight synthetic block and StarPrene fibers, the brush resists sun degradation, saltwater exposure, and the effects of common cleaners for long-lasting performance. It’s engineered to float and maintain fiber integrity over time, offering reliable service season after season when rinsed and stored properly.

• Durable synthetic block resists sun and saltwater damage
• Fibers don’t rot, weaken, or hold odors
• Floatable if dropped overboard for easy retrieval
• Low-maintenance: rinse after use and air-dry
