Supacaz Super Sticky Kush bar tape — Star Fade Oil Slick with Oil Slick Star Plugz, high-grip 2.5mm shock-damping

Supacaz Super Sticky Kush Star Fade is a high-grip, shock-damping handlebar tape with matching Oil Slick Star Plugz designed to improve comfort, control, and style on road and gravel bikes. This premium bar tape combines a tacky polyurethane top layer with a thin foam core and embossed Supacaz pattern to deliver superior grip in wet or sweaty conditions while cutting vibration for more confident handling. The included anodized aluminum Star Plugz screw-and-expand plugs finish the cockpit with durable, colorful accents that match the Oil Slick fade aesthetic.

How does this tape improve grip and control on long rides?

The Super Sticky PU top layer stays tacky even when wet or sweaty, helping you maintain a secure hold through long efforts and changing weather. The embossed Supacaz pattern channels moisture away and increases surface friction, while the thin Kush foam core absorbs small shocks that would otherwise reach your hands.

• Super Sticky PU: tacky feel that resists slipping in wet conditions
• Embossed pattern: moisture-wicking texture for consistent grip
• Kush Foam core: nano-foam dampening reduces hand fatigue

What cushioning and vibration reduction can I expect?

The Kush Foam middle layer is engineered to add measurable damping without bulk, giving a balanced feel that preserves bar shape and steering precision. It softens high-frequency buzz from rough pavement and gravel while keeping a direct connection to the bars for control.

• 2.5mm total thickness: comfortable without compromising handling
• Nano-foam damping: reduces hand and wrist strain on rough surfaces
• Maintains bar ergonomics for predictable steering feedback

Are the Star Plugz durable and easy to fit?

The Oil Slick Star Plugz are anodized aluminum plugs with a screw-and-expand (3mm) installation system that locks securely into the bar end. They are laser-etched with the Supacaz logo for long-lasting branding and provide a polished finish that resists corrosion and wear.

• Screw & expand (3mm): simple, secure installation
• Anodized finish: colorfast and corrosion-resistant accent
• Laser-etched logo: durable branding detail that won’t fade

How does the finish and construction affect longevity and appearance?

The high-end rubberized finish and advanced polyurethane top layer are formulated to withstand UV exposure, climate changes, and sweat without losing texture or color quickly. The Oil Slick Star Fade offers a striking multicolor sheen that pairs well with modern builds while resisting premature wear.

• Advanced polyurethane: UV and sweat resistant top layer
• Rubberized finish: premium look and tactile feel
• 2160mm length: enough tape for typical road bar wrapping
