THUNDERBAY 18 Inch Solid Fixed basketball rim, Compact Heavy-Duty Replacement with All-Weather Net

THUNDERBAY's 18-inch solid basketball rim is a compact, heavy-duty replacement hoop designed for wall or garage mounting and includes a weather-resistant PE net.

This 18" rim from THUNDERBAY gives you a dependable, space-saving option when your existing hoop needs replacement or you want a durable mounting solution for indoor garages, driveways, or outdoor courts. Built to match common bolt patterns and standard backboards, the rim balances a compact footprint with the strength required for recreational play across seasons.

Will this rim fit my backboard or mounting plate?

The THUNDERBAY rim is engineered to align with standard backboard bolt patterns, but compatibility depends on your specific mounting holes and bracket layout. Check the bolt pattern images and measure your existing hoop mounting points before ordering to ensure a correct fit.

• Designed to match common 18-inch standard backboard configurations
• Includes four expansion screws for wall or door installation
• Compact profile suits garage doors, sheds, and lightweight backboards
• Verify bolt pattern against your current hoop measurements

How durable is the rim for outdoor and seasonal use?

The rim uses a solid construction intended for regular recreational play and pairs with a PE net rated for weather exposure. While not an industrial-grade tournament rim, it resists rain and sun for reliable backyard and public-court use when maintained properly.

• Solid metal rim built to stand up to repeated shots and dunks
• All-weather PE net designed to resist moisture and UV conditions
• Coating and finish help reduce rusting in exposed environments
• Routine checks and tightening prolong service life

How simple is installation and what hardware is included?

Installation is straightforward for someone comfortable with basic tools: the package includes the necessary fasteners for mounting to walls or door frames. Because bolt patterns vary, confirm compatibility first and have a drill, level, and wrench ready for secure attachment.

• Comes with four expansion screws suitable for masonry or solid surfaces
• Space-saving wall-mounted design avoids ground fixtures
• Compact 18" diameter simplifies placement in tighter areas
• Clear pre-drilled holes for faster alignment and assembly

What playing experience should I expect from an 18-inch rim?

An 18" rim provides a smaller, more compact target than full-sized competition hoops, making it ideal for skill practice, casual shooting, and spaces where a full-size system won’t fit. It’s well-suited for youth practice, garage pick-up games, and locations where portability or reduced impact on mounting surfaces matters.

• Compact size encourages accuracy and controlled shooting
• Suitable for light to moderate play and training drills
• Works well in constrained areas like garages and driveways
• Paired net maintains a game-ready look in varied weather

Who is this for: The THUNDERBAY 18" Standard Solid Basketball Rim is aimed at homeowners, coaches, and facility managers seeking an easy-to-install replacement or a compact hoop for garages, small courts, and community areas. Choose this rim if you need a weather-resistant, standard-pattern replacement that saves space while providing reliable recreational performance.
