Tifosi Veloce Photochromic Cycling Sunglasses — Crystal Clear/Light Night, Grilamid Frame & Photochromic Lenses

These Tifosi Veloce Photochromic sunglasses automatically adjust tint between clear and dark, delivering breathable, impact-resistant eye protection for cycling and active outdoor use.

The Veloce Photochromic in Crystal Clear/Light Night pairs a lightweight Grilamid TR-90 frame with quick-reacting photochromic polycarbonate lenses, giving riders and outdoor enthusiasts dependable vision as light conditions shift. Built for motion, the design includes targeted ventilation, a glare-reducing guard, and decentered optics to minimize distortion while maintaining broad coverage and comfort in a one-size fit.

How quickly do these lenses change from clear to dark?

The photochromic lenses are formulated to transition promptly when UV intensity rises or falls, so you don’t need to swap glasses when moving between sun and shade. They darken outdoors and return toward the clear state indoors or under low light, making them practical for variable daylight rides.

• Crystal Clear/Light Night lens that adapts between low-light and bright conditions
• Polycarbonate composition for fast response and lightweight performance
• UV-activated tint change—works best outdoors in natural sunlight

Will these hold up if I wear them on long rides or in rough conditions?

The frames are molded from Grilamid TR-90, a homopolyamide noted for low weight, high flexibility, and resistance to chemicals and UV degradation. That toughness, combined with impact-resistant polycarbonate lenses, makes the Veloce suited for cycling, trail use, and daily active wear.

• Durable Grilamid TR-90 frame resists bending and harsh environments
• Shatter-resistant polycarbonate lenses for reliable impact protection
• Ventilated lens area reduces fogging during high-exertion efforts

Are these sunglasses compatible with prescription inserts?

Yes—the Veloce accepts the Veloce Rx Adaptor, so you can add prescription inserts without changing frames. That keeps lens performance and comfort intact while accommodating visual correction needs.

• Compatible with the Veloce Rx Adaptor for prescription inserts
• One-size frame simplifies fitting with most Rx adapters
• Maintains ventilation and lens geometry when used with inserts

How do the lens shape and ventilation affect my vision on the bike?

Decentered lenses reduce optical distortion across the field of view, and integrated ventilation channels keep airflow moving to limit fog buildup. A molded glare guard further cuts down unwanted reflections from pavement and water, helping you keep focus on the trail or road.

• Decentered optics improve clarity at peripheral angles
• Ventilation ports increase airflow to reduce fogging
• Glare guard diminishes reflective hotspots for clearer sightlines

Who this is for: The Tifosi Veloce Photochromic Crystal Clear/Light Night is aimed at cyclists, multi-sport athletes, and outdoor commuters who want a single, versatile pair of performance sunglasses that adapt to changing light. If you need a durable, lightweight frame that accepts prescription inserts and keeps fog and glare to a minimum, the Veloce offers a balanced mix of adjustive lens technology and rugged construction in an easy one-size package.
