Tough 1 neoprene-lined 12-ring training surcingle, Horse, adjustable nylon webbing with elastic girth and dee rings

Tough-1's neoprene-lined 12-ring nylon surcingle is a durable, adjustable training surcingle designed to secure training aids comfortably and evenly across horses and ponies.

Built for riders and trainers who need a reliable mounting platform for side reins, long-lining gear, or other training aids, this surcingle pairs robust nylon webbing with a soft P.V.C. neoprene lining to reduce pressure points. The variety of rings and dee attachments make it straightforward to position equipment precisely, while dual-side adjustable girths with elastic ends help maintain a snug, balanced fit during movement.

How does the surcingle help with attaching training aids?

The Tough-1 surcingle provides multiple attachment points so you can fine-tune the angle and tension of side reins, long lines, or other training devices without relying on the saddle. Rings are distributed along the front and sides for symmetrical placement and easy adjustments while the dee rings let you clip and secure hardware quickly.

• Twelve reinforced rings for versatile positioning
• Dee rings for secure clips and fast changes
• Evenly spaced mounting points to balance aid pressure

Will it stay comfortable for my horse during sessions?

The inner P.V.C. neoprene lining cushions the horse’s back and with the broad nylon webbing it helps distribute pressure across a wider surface than thin straps. Elastic ends on the girth allow a little give to absorb motion, reducing sudden tightness during repetitions.

• Neoprene lining to reduce rubbing and pressure spots
• Wide nylon construction spreads load evenly
• Elastic girth ends for gentle give and movement tolerance

How do I size and adjust the surcingle for my horse or pony?

The surcingle comes in two adjustable lengths to fit a broad range of animals: a horse size and a pony size. Adjustment buckles on both sides let you tighten or loosen the girth equally so the surcingle sits centered rather than pulled to one side.

• Horse size: adjustable 63"–78" to suit most horses
• Pony size: adjustable 58"–70" for most ponies
• Dual-side adjustment for centered fit and balance

What materials and care does the surcingle require?

Constructed from heavy-duty nylon webbing with a P.V.C. neoprene lining, the surcingle resists wear and is easy to maintain. Routine rinsing to remove sweat and occasional mild soap cleaning keep the neoprene comfortable and the hardware functioning smoothly.

• Durable nylon resists fraying and daily use
• P.V.C. neoprene wipes clean and helps prevent odors
• Inspect rings and buckles regularly for secure attachment

Who is this for? Trainers, lesson programs, and owners who regularly work horses on the ground or use long-lining and side reins will find this surcingle especially useful. It suits riders seeking a sturdy, adjustable platform for training aids without the bulk of a saddle, and facilities that need economical, easy-to-clean equipment for multiple animals. Ideal for riding schools, rehabilitative groundwork, or precision training where consistent, even pressure and multiple attachment options matter.
