UCO Recycled ECO 5-Piece Camping Mess Kit, Midnight, Airtight Nesting Plate & Bowl with Two-Piece Switch Spork

The UCO Recycled ECO 5-Piece Mess Kit is a lightweight, airtight camping plate-and-bowl set with a two-piece Switch Spork and tether designed for compact, no-fuss outdoor meals.

Built from recycled, food-safe polypropylene, this mess kit combines a plate and bowl that snap together to form an airtight container, plus a two-piece Switch Spork (fork, spoon, knife) and an elastic tether to keep everything together. Rubberized grips on the bottoms reduce slipping while you eat, and the spork’s contoured shape matches the bowl and plate to help you scoop every last bite. Dishwasher- and microwave-safe, the set measures approximately 8 x 8 x 3 inches when nested and is sized for backpacking, car camping, and travel meals.

How does this kit stay compact for travel?

The plate and bowl nest and lock together to create an airtight, space-saving package that fits easily in a pack or car bin. The spork disassembles and clips into the set, with the included elastic tether keeping the utensil secured to the kit so you won’t lose pieces on the trail.

• Airtight plate-and-bowl seal for compact storage
• Two-piece Switch Spork connects to form a long utensil
• Stretch tether attaches spork to the kit for secure transport

What makes it durable and suitable for outdoor use?

The mess kit is made from recycled, food-grade polypropylene that resists everyday camping wear. Rubberized bottoms on both bowl and plate add stability on uneven surfaces, and the plastic is phthalate-free and engineered to stand up to repeated use.

• Recycled, food-safe polypropylene construction
• Rubberized grip pads prevent slipping on camp tables or rocks
• Dishwasher- and microwave-safe for easy cleaning and reheating

How versatile is the Switch Spork included with the kit?

The two-piece Switch Spork separates into dedicated fork and spoon/knife components, or it snaps together to function as an extended utensil. Its curved profile is designed to match the bowl and plate interiors so you can scoop sauces and grains more efficiently without awkward scraping.

• Separate fork and spoon/knife pieces for multi-use
• Connects to create an extra-long utensil for pots or communal meals
• Contoured edges match the bowl and plate to reduce food waste

How do I care for and store the mess kit?

Cleaning is straightforward—pop the pieces in the dishwasher or wash by hand with warm soapy water. When not in use, snap the bowl and plate together, tuck the spork inside, and secure the tether; the compact package fits neatly in a kitchen drawer or pack pocket.

• Dishwasher-safe top rack for convenient cleaning
• Microwave-safe for reheating meals (follow microwave guidelines)
• Store nested and tethered to preserve space and prevent loss
