Ammo Can Man US Military ALICE canteen kit — 1-qt OD canteen with LC-2 suspenders & medium pistol belt, rugged Cordura-style cover

Complete military surplus canteen kit with a 1-quart OD canteen, cover, LC-2 suspenders, pistol belt and M-16 ammo pouch — ready to assemble for hiking, camping, or everyday carry.

This Ammo Can Man US Military Alice Suspender Kit combines new and genuine U.S. military components into a compact, rugged hydration and carry system. The set pairs a new 1-quart olive-drab (OD) canteen with used but serviceable covers and load-bearing hardware—built to work with the classic LC-2 suspenders and a medium pistol belt. It’s designed to be durable, modular, and easy to integrate with other surplus gear.

How does this kit hold up on long hikes and multi-day trips?

The canteen and cover are made for field use, with Cordura-like construction and reinforced stitching to resist abrasion and tears. The LC-2 suspenders distribute weight across shoulders, while the pistol belt anchors pouches and the canteen for steady carry on uneven terrain.

• New 1-qt OD canteen sized for practical daytime hydration.
• Rugged OD canteen cover with secure closure and drainage.
• Used LC-2 suspenders designed to transfer load to hips and shoulders.
• Medium pistol belt with OD buckle for stable attachment points.

What components are included and are they pre-assembled?

The kit contains a mix of new and used U.S. military parts: a new 1-quart OD canteen, a used OD canteen cover, a used M-16 ammo pouch, a used LC-2 suspender, and a used GI pistol belt. Items arrive unassembled so you can configure attachments and placement to match your preferred setup.

• NEW 1 Qt. OD canteen for fresh, leak-free use.
• Used OD canteen cover built to protect and insulate the canteen.
• Used M-16 ammo pouch adds quick-access storage for small essentials.
• LC-2 suspenders and medium pistol belt let you distribute and secure gear.

How do I maintain and clean the canteen and covers?

Rinse the canteen with warm water and mild soap; avoid abrasive cleaners or boiling which can degrade plastic. Remove the cover for hand washing and air drying—check stitching and closures regularly and patch any wear before it grows into a failure.

• Hand-wash canteen cover with mild detergent; air dry fully before storage.
• Use warm soapy water and a soft bottle brush for the canteen interior.
• Inspect suspenders, belt, and webbing for fray or loose stitching periodically.
• Replace components as needed; many parts are standard surplus replacements.

Can I integrate this kit with other packs and MOLLE systems?

Yes. The LC-2 suspenders and pistol belt create attachment points compatible with traditional ALICE-style clips and webbing. The M-16 pouch and canteen cover fit onto belts or packs with corresponding straps, making the kit adaptable to modern and vintage loadouts.

• ALICE-compatible hardware works with many surplus and tactical belts.
• Use the pistol belt as a platform for pouches or route suspenders to a backpack.
• Compact kit fits in a daypack or mounts externally on belts and lash points.
• Swap or upgrade pieces independently as needs evolve.

Who is this for: Outdoor enthusiasts who value rugged, time-tested military gear; campers and hikers wanting a compact hydration and carry solution; collectors and reenactors assembling authentic surplus setups; and anyone seeking modular components to customize load distribution and storage without buying a full new harness. The Ammo Can Man kit delivers real U.S. military parts—new where it matters, used where service life is ample—so you can configure a dependable, repairable field rig built for real-world use.
