FluidStance Plane 360° Balance Board for Standing Desk, Storm, Compact Wobble Board with Rubber Bumpers

FluidStance Plane is a US-made 360° balance board that adds safe, controlled movement to standing-desk workstations to improve posture, engage muscles, and make standing more active.

The Plane is a compact wobble board built for adults who use standing desks and want subtle, continuous motion without sacrificing typing accuracy. Hand-assembled in California, the deck combines recycled materials with a stable base and rubber bumpers to create a board that rocks, swivels, and supports toe raises or small footwork. It’s designed to fit under most standing-desk setups and travel easily between home and office.

How does the Plane encourage movement during long work sessions?

The Plane creates a single-axis platform that requires micro-adjustments from your hips, ankles, and core while you stand. Those small, repeated shifts keep muscles active and can increase calorie burn and heart rate compared with sitting.

• Continuous micro-movements to engage stabilizer muscles
• Designed to let hips and ankles drive motion, not your hands
• Stable enough for focused typing and light desk tasks
• Compact footprint for under-desk placement

Is the Plane stable and safe for everyday use?

Yes—Plane balances movement with predictable stopping points thanks to integrated rubber bumpers and a sturdy base. The board’s construction prevents sudden slips while still allowing controlled rocking and swiveling.

• Rubber bumpers provide natural travel limits
• Low center of gravity reduces tipping risk
• Textured top for confident footing and grip
• Durable base materials handle daily use and weight

What materials and sustainability practices are used in the build?

FluidStance uses recycled and low-emission materials for the Plane’s deck and base whenever possible. The company emphasizes local assembly and environmentally conscious sourcing to lower the product’s footprint.

• Top deck made from 100% recycled, low-emitting tire treads
• Base components from recycled plastics for durability
• Hand-assembled in California to support local manufacturing
• Company donates a portion of earnings to environmental causes

Will the Plane affect my typing or keyboard use?

The Plane is engineered so most of the motion comes from the lower body, which helps keep your hands steady at the keyboard. Users commonly report being able to maintain accurate typing while still benefiting from the increased activity.

• Motion is concentrated in hips, knees, and ankles
• Rubber bumpers reduce excessive sway during typing
• Compact design fits easily at your workstation without interfering
• Lightweight for quick moves between desks or rooms

Who is this for: The FluidStance Plane is ideal for office workers, remote employees, and anyone with a standing desk who wants a safe way to move more while working. It suits adults of varied fitness levels who prefer subtle activity—micro-movements, light footwork, or short bursts of balance training—without interrupting concentration or workflow. If you want a durable, sustainably minded balance board made in the USA that fits into daily desk life, Plane is built for that purpose.
