VELO Sports Velo Puck for Baseball Bats, Black, Size Large — Silicone Counterbalance, 2.3 oz Weight

The VELO Puck is a patented silicone puck that converts most metal baseball bats into a counterbalanced, puck-knob bat to improve swing feel, plane, launch potential, and exit velocity.

The VELO Puck is a small, high-precision weight that slips over a bat’s knob to lengthen and rebalance the barrel toward the hands. Built from durable silicone rubber and calibrated by weight and length, the puck is available in two sizes so players can pick the correct fit based on their knob diameter. It’s tournament‑approved for several major youth and amateur organizations, making it a practical upgrade for practice and games.

How do I choose the right VELO Puck size for my bat?

Measure the diameter of your bat’s knob before ordering: the LARGE puck fits bat knobs 1.7 inches or larger, while the SMALL is designed for knobs under 1.7 inches. Each size has a specific weight to provide the intended counterbalance effect without adding unnecessary bulk.

• Large: for knobs ≥ 1.7" — weight 2.3 oz; fits most adult and youth metal bats.
• Small: for knobs < 1.7" — weight 2.2 oz; fits thinner-knob youth bats.
• Silicone rubber stretches for a secure, tear-resistant fit.

What performance changes can I expect with the VELO Puck?

The patented puck moves mass toward the handle, reducing the bat’s moment of inertia so the barrel feels easier to control through the hitting zone. Players commonly notice improved barrel plane consistency, loft potential, and a firmer perception of exit speed when contact is solid.

• Improved bat balance lets hitters keep the barrel on plane longer.
• Counterbalance feel can enhance quickness and swing repeatability.
• Data-backed shifts in launch angle and exit velocity for many users.

Is the VELO Puck legal for use in games and which bats are compatible?

The VELO Puck is approved for in-game use by USSSA, Perfect Game, NABF, and Top Gun Tournaments, among others—confirm your event’s roster rules before play. It is designed specifically to work with most metal and alloy baseball bats; always check that the puck seats securely on the bat knob before taking the field.

• Approved by several major youth and amateur tournament organizations.
• Compatible primarily with metal/alloy bat knobs; test fit for silicone stretch.
• Quick installation: slide onto the knob—no tools required.

How durable and practical is the VELO Puck for regular use?

Constructed from robust silicone rubber, the puck resists cracking and maintains shape through repeated practice sessions and games. Its low-profile design minimizes interference with grip and hand placement while adding calibrated mass to fine-tune swing dynamics.

• Silicone construction resists weathering and repeated slips on/off.
• Low-profile fit preserves comfortable grip and control.
• Easy to clean—wipe with mild soap and water; air dry.

Who is this for? The VELO Puck suits competitive youth and amateur baseball players, coaches looking to tune hitters’ swing mechanics, and dedicated batters who want a consistent, game-legal counterbalance on metal bats. If you want a simple, portable accessory that alters bat feel and helps refine plane and launch tendencies, the VELO Puck is engineered to be a fast, reversible way to test and train swing changes during practice and in approved competition.
