Victorinox Fireant Mini Tools fire starter kit — 3-piece set with waterproof helix tinders, fits 84/85/91/111mm knives

Victorinox Fireant Mini Tools are a compact three-piece fire-starting kit and six waterproof helix tinders designed to fit into the corkscrew slot of compatible Swiss Army Knives for quick sparks on the trail.

Lightweight, pocket-ready, and engineered to integrate with select Victorinox Swiss Army Knife models, this FireAnt Mini Tools set gives you a reliable ignition option without adding bulk. The set includes three fire steels in glowing colors plus six spiral helix tinders that resist moisture, so you can create ember-producing sparks even when conditions are damp. It’s meant as a practical add-on for hikers, campers, and everyday carry users who prefer a clean, integrated solution over loose ferro rods and separate tinder bundles.

How does the FireAnt kit attach to my Swiss Army Knife?

The mini tools are specifically shaped to slide into the corkscrew cavity of Victorinox knives that measure 84, 85, 91, or 111 mm. Installation is simple and tool-free: insert the fire steel assembly into the corkscrew opening and secure it in place so it sits flush with the knife’s handle.

• Compatible with 84, 85, 91, and 111 mm Victorinox knives
• Tool-free insertion into the corkscrew slot
• Low-profile fit maintains pocket comfort and knife balance

What performance can I expect from the fire steels and helix tinders?

Each fire steel produces hot, consistent sparks capable of igniting the included helix tinders or other fine tinder. The helix tinders are spiral-shaped and waterproof, improving ignition reliability when natural tinder is damp or scarce. Together they create a dependable ignition system for emergency and routine outdoor use.

• Three fire steels provide multiple ignition attempts
• Six waterproof helix tinders for consistent ember formation
• Designed to spark at typical ferrocerium temperatures for rapid ignition

How durable and travel-ready is the FireAnt Mini Tools set?

The components are built to withstand everyday carry conditions and outdoor use. Fire steels resist corrosion and retain striking capability over many uses, while the helix tinders are designed to survive moisture exposure without crumbling. Because the set stores inside the knife’s corkscrew space, it travels safely and won’t rattle or snag in your pocket.

• Compact storage inside the corkscrew cavity
• Resilient materials resist wear and moisture
• No extra bulk — keeps knife profile sleek

How should I use and maintain the FireAnt components?

Use the fire steel by striking with the knife’s back edge or a striker to send sparks onto helix tinder or fine natural fibers. Replace helix tinders as they are consumed; the set includes six for multiple outings. Keep the assembly dry inside the knife when not in use and periodically check the steel for wear if you rely on it frequently.

• Strike firmly to direct sparks to the helix tinder
• Store dry and inspect periodically for wear
• Replace tinders after use; three steels provide redundancy

Who is this for? This Victorinox FireAnt Mini Tools set is ideal for backpackers, bushcrafters, day hikers, and everyday-carry enthusiasts who already own a compatible Victorinox Swiss Army Knife and want an unobtrusive, integrated fire-starting option. It’s also useful for anyone who values compact preparedness: the kit keeps ignition supplies on hand without needing extra pouches or straps. Avoid using it in environments with fire restrictions and always follow local safety rules when creating open flames.
