WAKE 10 Step Mat boat seat protector Blue - waterproof, slip-resistant floating pad

The WAKE 10 Step Mat is a waterproof, floating marine step mat designed to protect boat seat upholstery and stern pads from rips, stains and wear caused by repeated stepping.

Stepping onto seats and swim platforms puts concentrated stress on marine upholstery, leading to tears, seam damage and discoloration. The WAKE 10 Step Mat spreads weight across a larger area, adds a slip-resistant surface, and tucks away in storage compartments. Its dual-colored design lets you flip the mat to match different interiors while keeping cushions looking new and preserving resale value.

How does the step mat stop rips and tears in boat seats?

The WAKE 10 Step Mat reduces concentrated pressure points by distributing your weight across a resilient foam-and-rubber blend. Instead of stepping directly on seams or thin cushion edges, the mat creates a broad, stable platform so fabric and stitching experience less stress.

• Large surface area spreads load to avoid seam strain
• Marine-grade foam and rubber resist compression and puncture
• Slip-resistant top prevents foot movement that can cut or abrade fabric
• Floatable design avoids waterlogging that can degrade cushions

Will the WAKE 10 Step Mat work on wet swim platforms and docks?

Yes — the mat’s waterproof construction and textured surface deliver traction even when wet, reducing slips while boarding from the water or dock. Because it floats and dries quickly, it won’t retain water that could promote mildew or staining on seats.

• Quick-drying, slip-resistant top for secure footing
• Waterproof materials prevent absorption and weight gain
• Floats when accidentally dropped overboard for easy retrieval
• Won’t trap moisture against cushions when stowed correctly

How does the dual-color design help match my boat interior?

The WAKE 10 Step Mat features two contrasting colors—one on each side—so you can flip it to better coordinate with upholstery, dash trim or deck colors. This simple versatility means the mat looks intentional rather than tacked-on, and easily fits in storage compartments when not in use.

• Two-tone finish gives quick aesthetic flexibility
• Compact size fits common storage cubbies and lockers
• Reversible: change look without buying multiple mats
• Finishes are chosen to resist fading and staining from sun and salt

How does the step mat save me money on boat maintenance?

Repairing or replacing marine upholstery is expensive and time-consuming; protecting seats with a purpose-built step mat prevents small damages from growing into costly repairs. Regular use preserves original fabric condition and seam integrity, which helps maintain the boat’s value over time.

• Prevents common wear points that lead to upholstery replacement
• Reduces need for professional repair and reupholstery services
• Keeps seats cleaner, lowering cleaning and restoration costs
• Helps maintain resale value by preserving factory condition
