Cape Marine Welcome Aboard Boat Mat — Navy with Gray Script & Anchor, 24 x 17, Standard Marine Backing, UV-Resistant

The Cape Marine "Welcome Aboard" boat mat in navy with gray script and anchor is a durable 24" x 17" marine-grade carpet mat designed to keep your boat entry clean and slip-resistant while adding nautical style.

This compact boat mat combines hard-wearing marine carpet with a classic navy background, gray scripted "Welcome Aboard" text, and an anchor motif to create a polished first impression at the cockpit or boarding step. Constructed to resist sun, salt, and typical deck wear, it fits small spaces where durability and appearance both matter. The low-profile pile makes it easy to step on and off while helping trap dirt and moisture from shoes.

How will this mat stand up to sun, salt, and frequent use?

The Cape Marine mat uses marine-grade carpet fibers and backing engineered to withstand UV exposure, salt spray, and regular foot traffic without rapid fading or breakdown.

• Weather- and UV-resistant materials prevent color loss in direct sun.
• Corrosion-resistant construction avoids deterioration from saltwater air.
• Low-pile design reduces mat wear from repeated boarding and cleaning.

Where on my boat does this 24" x 17" mat work best?

At 24 inches long by 17 inches wide, the mat is intended for compact areas: boarding thresholds, helm steps, companionway entrances, or as an accent in small cockpit zones.

• Perfect for transom, swim platform steps, or companionway thresholds.
• Fits narrow spaces where full-sized rugs are impractical.
• Works as a decorative welcome piece without obstructing movement.

How do I clean and maintain the Welcome Aboard mat?

Maintenance is straightforward: regular rinsing and occasional gentle scrubbing keep the mat looking fresh without damaging fibers or backing.

• Rinse with fresh water after salty outings to remove deposits.
• Spot-clean with mild soap and a soft brush for stubborn dirt.
• Allow to air-dry fully before stowing to avoid mildew buildup.

Will this mat stay put on deck and is it safe underfoot?

The mat’s marine-grade backing and low-profile carpet help it sit securely on typical boat decking and provide a stable surface for boarding and stepping.

• Textured backing minimizes slippage on dry deck surfaces.
• Low pile reduces tripping hazards compared with tall rugs.
• Design leaves room for proper drainage and quick drying.

Who is this for: The Cape Marine Welcome Aboard boat mat is suited for boat owners, charter operators, and anyone who wants a small, durable, and stylish mat to protect their deck and welcome guests. It fits owners of runabouts, center consoles, walkaround cruisers, and sailboats who need a compact, weather-tolerant mat that adds a nautical touch without consuming valuable deck space.
