Wiel Bike Basket — Folding Steel Bicycle Basket with Black PU-Lined Rainproof Cover, 14L, 33 lb Capacity

The Wiel Bike Basket is a folding, powder-coated steel carrier with a waterproof PU-lined cover that mounts to your front handlebar or rear rack for up to 33 lbs of everyday cargo.

This compact, collapsible bicycle basket converts quickly between a full 14‑liter carrier and a slim folded profile for storage. Built from rust-resistant steel wire and supplied with a PU-layered 210D Oxford liner that doubles as a rainproof cover, it keeps groceries, work items, and small pets secure while commuting, shopping, or riding around town. The design fits many adult bikes and scooters, but please check handlebar and wheel clearances before purchasing.

Will this basket fit my front handlebar or rear rack?

Yes — the Wiel basket attaches to either the front handlebar or a rear rack using integrated hooks and supplied fasteners. There are important size limits to confirm so the basket mounts safely and clears the wheel and tire.

• Front mount: hook spacing 2.5 in (6.5 cm); handlebar diameter must be under 1.5 in (4 cm); minimum handlebar-to-front-tire distance 12.2 in (31 cm).
• Rear mount: not compatible with children’s bikes that use rear wheels smaller than 24".
• Always measure your bike before ordering to ensure correct fit and safe clearance.

How much can this basket carry and how big is it?

The Wiel basket creates a 13.3" x 9" x 7.8" (L x H x W) cargo area when unfolded and supports up to 33 pounds (15 kg). When you don’t need it, the basket collapses flat to save space.

• Unfolded capacity: approximately 14 liters of rectangular storage for bags, groceries, or picnic supplies.
• Folded dimensions: 13.3" x 12.2" x 2" for compact storage in trunks or closets.
• Package weight: about 2.2 lb (1.19 kg) for easy handling and installation.

What materials and weather protection does it offer?

The frame is made from powder-coated steel wire that resists rust and stands up to daily use, while the included liner is constructed from 210D Oxford fabric with a PU layer to repel light rain. The liner clips into the basket to keep smaller items from falling out and converts into a rainproof cover when needed.

• Basket: durable powder-coated steel wire that’s simple to rinse and wipe clean.
• Liner/cover: 210D nylon with PU coating to shield contents from drizzle and dust.
• Accessories: two PVC-coated protective tubes for hooks plus screws and nuts to secure the mount.

How easy is installation and what should I know about unfolding it?

The Wiel basket ships folded to save space; deployment uses built-in springs and should be done slowly and under adult supervision the first time. Mounting takes only the supplied hardware and no special tools for most adult bikes or scooters.

• Unboxing: lift the buckle slowly and allow the basket to expand under control — springs deploy the frame.
• Mounting: slide PVC-coated hooks onto the handlebar or rack, then tighten the included screws and nuts.
• Safety tip: confirm clearance from tires and handlebars before riding; do not install on children’s bikes with small rear wheels.

Who this is for: Cyclists who need a reliable, foldable cargo solution for daily errands, commuting, market runs, or short picnics will appreciate the Wiel basket. It’s designed for adult bicycles and scooters that meet the specified size limits, offering a lightweight yet sturdy carrier and a weather-resistant liner to protect small items. If you want a low-profile storage option that tucks away when not in use and supports moderate loads up to 33 lbs, this basket is a practical choice.
