Winmau Sniper Black 26g Steel Tip Darts — 90% Tungsten Slim 7.9mm Barrel, PVD Finish

Winmau Sniper Black 26g steel tip darts are a slim, high-density 90% tungsten set finished in black PVD for controlled throws and durable tournament-ready performance.

Engineered for players who want a compact, aggressive barrel profile, the Sniper Black combines a narrow 7.9 mm diameter with a 48.3 mm length to concentrate mass where it matters. The PVD coated finish reduces glare and improves grip feel, while the match-weighted barrels ensure consistent release from dart to dart. Included Prism Alpha flights and Prism Force stems give a ready-to-play setup out of the box, and a laser-engraved aluminium point protector keeps tips safe during transport.

How does the Sniper Black help me throw more consistently?

The Sniper Black focuses on repeatable feel and steady grouping through a match-weighted, high-density tungsten construction. The narrow profile encourages a single, precise grip position and the machining pattern provides tactile feedback without overly aggressive bite.

• 90% tungsten concentrates weight in a slim 7.9 x 48.3 mm barrel for tighter groupings
• Match-weighted barrels maintain the same feel across all three darts
• Balanced machining gives grip where you need it without disrupting release

What does the ready-to-play setup include and why does it matter?

Each set comes with Prism Alpha extra-thick standard flights and Prism Force medium stems which pair well with the Sniper barrel profile to stabilize flight and resist mid-throw flex. The configuration reduces the need for immediate aftermarket changes, letting you practice or compete right away.

• Prism Alpha flights: extra-thick for improved durability and consistent aerodynamics
• Prism Force medium stems: medium length for a balanced tail-to-tip relationship
• Laser-engraved aluminium point protector: shields steel tips during transport

Are these darts suitable for league or tournament play?

Yes — the Sniper Black's construction and finish are built with competitive use in mind. The high tungsten content keeps barrels slim for tighter trebles while retaining mass, and the PVD finish resists surface wear during regular play.

• 90% tungsten meets expectations for compact, competition-style barrels
• PVD black coating reduces reflection and improves appearance longevity
• Includes protective point cover for safe carry between venues

How do I transport and protect my darts when traveling to matches?

Winmau provides a laser-engraved aluminium point protector with this set to prevent tip damage and accidental pokes in bags or cases. For additional security, use a compact dart case that separates barrels from accessories and keeps shafts and flights flat.

• Point protector clips onto tips to shield points during transit
• Store darts with flights and stems detached if travelling long distances
• Use a foam-padded or segmented case for safe, organized storage

Who is this for? The Winmau Sniper Black 26g set is aimed at players who prefer a slim, concentrated barrel profile — from serious hobbyists and league competitors to seasoned tournament players who want consistent feel and compact grip geometry. Beginners who want a long-lasting, ready-to-play set will also appreciate the included flights, stems, and protective point cover that make it easy to start practicing straight away.
