How sturdy and safe are these climbing grips for kids?

Each TOPNEW hold is injection-molded from quality plastic resin and tested to support a load of up to 230 pounds, providing a strong margin for family use. The textured, nonskid surface improves grip and reduces sliding, while the kit includes hardware to fasten holds securely through the climbing surface.

• Weight rating: supports up to 230 lbs per hold
• Nonskid texture for better traction
• Includes 36 bolts, washers and nuts for multiple attachment points
• Installation uses through-bolting for secure mounting

Can these holds be used outdoors, and will they last in sunlight or rain?

TOPNEW designed these holds to withstand outdoor conditions: they resist fading, weathering and general wear from sun, rain and wind. The resin material and UV-stable finishing mean the holds keep their shape and texture longer than untreated plastics.

• UV-resistant resin reduces color fade
• Weatherproof surface stands up to rain and wind
• Low-maintenance cleaning with mild soap and water
• Durable for both indoor and outdoor play areas

What shapes, sizes, and installation steps come with the set?

The set includes 18 climbing holds in three distinct shapes sized for children’s hands and feet, allowing varied routes and grips. The package contains all mounting hardware and a simple four-step installation that uses drilled holes and through-bolting so holds remain firmly anchored to plywood or playset structures.

• 18 holds in three shapes to create diverse routes
• Hardware: 36 two-inch bolts, 36 washers, 36 nuts and 1 Allen wrench
• Installation: drill plywood, line up hold, insert bolt and washer, tighten nut
• Designed for standard playset and wooden climbing panels

How do these holds help kids develop coordination and confidence?

Climbing is an active play option that naturally strengthens arms, legs and core muscles while improving balance and problem-solving as children plan routes. The friendly shapes and tactile texture encourage repeated use so kids build physical skills and confidence through play.

• Three hold shapes encourage different grip types and foot placements
• Textured surfaces promote secure hand and foot contact
• Adaptable for progressive difficulty as skills grow
• Suitable for cooperative or solo climbing play
