Affordura Kayak Navigation Light and Orange Flag Kit — White 360° LED, Telescoping Pole

The Affordura Kayak Lights with Orange Flag Pole Kit is a compact, 360° white LED navigation light and high-visibility orange flag system designed to increase your kayak's visibility day or night.

This kit pairs a waterproof all-around white LED stern light with a telescoping aluminum pole and a bright Oxford orange flag so small boats meet recommended visibility standards on shared waterways. Built for wet, salty, and rough conditions, the components break down for easy storage and attach with multiple mounting options to suit most kayaks, canoes, dinghies, and small sailboats.

How does this light improve visibility for daytime and nighttime paddling?

The 360-degree white LED provides consistent, omnidirectional illumination so other boaters can see your stern from any angle. The included orange flag increases daytime conspicuity, especially against busy shorelines or crowded harbors.

• All-around 360° bright white LED for stern visibility
• High-visibility Oxford orange flag (19.7" x 5.5")
• Flag pole extends from 24.9" to 55.5" to meet sightline recommendations
• Useful in daylight, twilight, low-visibility conditions, and night

Is the kit durable and water-ready for regular marine use?

Yes — the light housing is rated IPX8, protecting it for extended exposure to water, and the pole is made from corrosion-resistant aluminum. The flag is constructed from heavy-duty Oxford fabric designed to resist tearing and fading from sun and salt spray.

• IPX8 waterproof LED unit with long service life (rated 50,000 hours)
• Aluminum alloy telescoping pole resists corrosion
• Durable Oxford material flag for weather resistance
• Components detach and fold for compact storage

How easy is installation and what power does the light require?

Installation is straightforward with three mounting options to fit most craft: a track mount, insertion into tubular rod holders, or the supplied mounting base. The light runs on three AAA batteries, avoiding complicated wiring and enabling up to approximately 75 hours of run time depending on brightness setting.

• Three mounting methods: track, tubular holders, or base mount
• Simple one-touch control with high and low brightness settings
• Powers with 3 AAA batteries (not included), energy-efficient operation
• Quick-detach design for transport and storage in the flag pocket

Does this kit meet boating visibility recommendations and who regulates that?

The kit is sized to satisfy common small-boat visibility guidance, including the US Coast Guard minimum that an all-around light on boats under 12 meters be placed roughly 1 meter above the sidelight. The extended pole and 360° light help you match that practical requirement for better sightlines.

• Designed to meet USCG guidance for all-around light height on small boats
• Pole extends to provide recommended light elevation
• Suitable for kayaks, canoes, small sailboats, rafts, and dinghies
• Flag size and pole height optimized for daytime detection

Who is this for: The Affordura Kayak Lights with Orange Flag Pole Kit is intended for recreational paddlers, kayak anglers, and small-boat users who want a simple, robust visibility solution without permanent wiring. Ideal for those who need a portable, weatherproof lighting and flag setup for mixed daytime and nighttime outings, anglers working early mornings, and paddlers sharing busy waterways where added conspicuity improves safety and confidence.
