When you head into avalanche terrain, having straightforward, reliable rescue tools matters more than bells and whistles. This package bundles BCA’s Tracker S avalanche transceiver with a 270 cm aluminum probe and a lightweight Dozer 1T shovel, offering a balanced combination of performance, simplicity, and affordability for both newcomers and seasoned travelers refreshing old gear.

How does the Tracker S beacon help during a rescue?

The Tracker S is engineered for ease of use and rapid locating of buried partners. It prioritizes clear visual and audio guidance to shorten search time and minimize user confusion under stress.

• Fast three-antenna digital transceiver for accurate direction finding
• Simple, intuitive interface suitable for beginners
• Reliable signal transmission and reception for single- and multi-burial searches
• Long battery life and visible status indicators to confirm readiness

What makes the Stealth 270 probe suitable for backcountry use?

The Stealth 270 probe balances length, stiffness, and weight to deliver practical probing reach without excess bulk. Its aluminum sections assemble quickly and lock securely, providing consistent penetration and depth measurement in varied snow types.

• 270 cm collapsed probe gives deep reach for most burial scenarios
• Aluminum construction for durable, reliable penetration
• Quick-connect sections that snap together for fast deployment
• Clear, legible depth markings for immediate reading

Why choose the Dozer 1T shovel for companion rescue and snow work?

The Dozer 1T is a lightweight aluminum shovel built to move snow efficiently while keeping pack weight low. Its blade shape and shaft configuration are optimized for both fast avalanche digs and general snow management tasks.

• Aluminum blade and shaft for strong, durable digging with reduced weight
• Compact design that fits easily into or onto a pack
• Ergonomic handle geometry for efficient snow removal and leverage
• Versatile tool for rescue digs, snowpit work, and campsite tasks

How does this package compare to upgrading individual components later?

Buying this bundle gives you a matched, ready-to-go rescue system at a lower combined cost than piecemeal purchases. It covers the essential functions—signal search, pinpoint probing, and efficient excavation—so you can train and travel with confidence, then upgrade specialized pieces as your needs evolve.

• Cost-effective entry set with compatible, field-proven components
• Immediate readiness: no waiting for separate deliveries or compatibility checks
• Good baseline for practicing companion rescue drills and gaining experience
• Upgrades remain possible: higher-end beacons or carbon probes can replace parts later
