Big Crazy Sliding Mitt youth baseball and softball sliding glove, Coconut Tree, neoprene with aluminum plates

Big Crazy Sliding Mitt is a youth-sized sliding glove built with aluminum plates and neoprene for secure, comfortable hand protection during baseball and softball slides.

Designed specifically for younger players, this sliding mitt combines rigid impact plates with a breathable neoprene body and an adjustable elastic strap to keep the glove in place through dives, slides, and scrambles at the base. Bright, kid-friendly styling makes it easy to spot in a bag while durable construction keeps it game-ready season after season.

How does this mitt protect my child’s hand when sliding?

The mitt uses thin aluminum plates on both the top and bottom to shield the wrist and palm from abrasion and impact during slides. The plates disperse force across the surface while the neoprene layer reduces rubbing and allows some flexibility.

• Dual aluminum plates for top-and-bottom coverage
• Neoprene fabric cushions and reduces skin friction
• Secure strap holds the plates in position during impact

Will this sliding glove stay on during play and fit youth hands?

Big Crazy crafted the mitt with tight stitching and an adjustable elastic strap so it stays snug through running, sliding, and quick movements. Check the included size chart to confirm the mitt matches your child’s palm dimensions before purchasing.

• Adjustable elastic strap for a secure fit
• Reinforced stitching resists wear at stress points
• Youth sizing—refer to picture size chart for best fit

How durable and comfortable is the material for repeated use?

The mitt’s outer shell is made from high-grade neoprene diving fabric, chosen for its durability and breathability. Neoprene offers a balance of comfort, stretch, and long-term wear resistance that handles repeated slides and outdoor exposure.

• High-grade neoprene for longevity and comfort
• Breathable construction to limit sweat buildup
• Colorful finish resists fading with normal use

Can this mitt be given as a gift and what occasions suit it?

Yes — the mitt’s lively colors and youth-focused styling make it a practical and appealing present for young athletes. It’s a good pick for birthdays, holidays, team-season kickoffs, or as a reward for progress in practice.

• Vibrant look popular with kids and teens
• Useful for both baseball and softball players
• Packaged ready for gifting or team handouts
