Better Boat's Slip Ring Fluke Anchor is a lightweight, hot-dip galvanized anchor engineered to hold small craft (15–28 ft) securely while being easy to set and retrieve.
This compact anchor combines a classic fluke profile with a sliding slip ring so it sets quickly in mud, sand, and mixed bottoms and then releases without fighting a stuck shaft. Built under 5 lb for easy handling, the anchor is hot-dip galvanized to resist corrosion in fresh and salt water, making it a practical primary anchor for small craft or a dependable secondary stern anchor for larger boats.
The slip ring allows the anchor to move freely along the shank when you pull from different angles, which prevents the fluke from digging in and jamming the shaft. That mobility reduces effort when retrieving and lowers the risk of having to dive or use tools to free the anchor.
Available in three length ranges, the fluke geometry and lightweight build fit a variety of small craft. Choose the size mapped to your boat length to get the expected holding performance without excess weight.
The anchor is hot-dip galvanized after fabrication for long-term rust resistance and abrasion protection. That finish preserves structural integrity across seasons when exposed to both fresh and salt water, and it minimizes maintenance compared with bare steel anchors.
Set the anchor by paying out enough rode for the water depth and letting the boat drift back until the flukes bite. When you want to raise it, pull from the controlled line gradually—if the anchor feels stuck, a short reverse or side pull will use the slip ring to free the shaft without extra strain.
Who is this for? Boaters who want a low-weight, corrosion-resistant fluke anchor that’s simple to handle alone and versatile enough for pontoons, jon boats, and other small craft. It’s especially useful for anglers, weekend boaters, and anyone wanting a compact primary anchor or a dependable stern backup without heavy lifting or complicated gear.
