Izzo Callaway FT Launch Zone golf hitting mat 12" x 24" (L x W), tru-turf surface, heavy rubber backing

The Callaway FT Launch Zone Golf Hitting Mat by Izzo is a durable practice mat that replicates fairway and tee-box turf while a heavy rubber backing reduces slide and protects clubs on impact.

If you want realistic practice at home, this hitting mat blends a tru-turf surface with a heavy, non-slip rubber base to deliver consistent ball contact and reduced movement during swings. Built to resist wear, the mat is available in two convenient sizes and includes a patented universal tee holder for practicing drives and tee shots. The materials and construction focus on longevity and realistic feedback so you can refine your swing without risking damage to clubs or decking.

How close does the surface feel to a real fairway or tee box?

The mat uses a tru-turf face engineered to mimic the density and give of natural turf, giving you more accurate feedback on strike quality than cheap nylon mats. The pile height and backing stiffness were chosen to approximate turf resistance and divot response without needing real grass.

• Tru-turf texture for realistic ball roll and turf interaction
• Firm yet forgiving pile to mimic fairway contact
• Consistent surface across the whole mat for repeatable practice

Will the mat slide or damage my clubs during practice?

No—this model includes a heavy rubber backing that significantly reduces slippage at impact and cushions the blow to help protect club faces and shafts. The dense rubber also helps the mat stay put on grass, concrete, or decking, so your setup stays consistent shot to shot.

• Thick rubber backing minimizes lateral movement on impact
• Shock-absorbing layer reduces stress to hands and clubheads
• Weighted construction improves stability for full swings

What tee options and practice setups does the mat support?

The mat arrives with a patented universal tee holder that accepts any standard wooden or plastic tee, making it simple to practice drives and long shots. The holder is removable so you can use a fixed-height rubber tee (sold separately) or practice shots without a tee for mid-iron work.

• Included patented universal tee holder fits most tees
• Removable holder allows use of fixed rubber tees (not included)
• Two available mat sizes to match practice space and clubs

How do I choose the right size for my space and practice goals?

Size matters based on where you’ll practice and which shots you want to focus on. The mat comes in smaller and larger options so you can pick a footprint that fits a balcony, backyard, or garage while still giving enough surface for full-swing or short-game repetition.

• 8" x 6" (small) for compact spaces and tee practice
• 1' x 2' (larger) for fuller swing length and multiple station drills
• Lay flat on any firm surface; rollable for storage between sessions
