CHAMPRO Python Rib Protector Medium — Wrap-Around Rib & Lower-Back Shield, Impact-Dispersion Shell

The CHAMPRO Python Rib Protector in size M is a wrap-around rib and back shield that fastens to Python and Falcon shoulder pads to absorb impacts while preserving mobility.

Designed as an economical, easy-to-install add-on, this rib protector combines a high-impact plastic outer shell with foam padding to reduce force transmission to the ribs and lower back. It mounts directly to compatible CHAMPRO shoulder pads using the included hardware and an adjustable hook-and-loop front closure. Multiple attachment heights and extra grommets let players customize coverage for their body and position.

How does this rib protector attach and fit different shoulder pads?

Installation is straightforward: use the supplied attachment hardware to connect the protector to any CHAMPRO Python or Falcon shoulder pad. The front closure is hook-and-loop and adjustable, so you can cinch it for a snug or relaxed fit depending on preference.

• Includes mounting hardware for fast installation
• Adjustable hook-and-loop front strap for personalized fit
• Three height attachment locations with extra grommets for tailored coverage

What protection and materials are used to absorb impacts?

The protector uses a two-layer approach: a rigid, high-impact plastic exterior that disperses force and an inner foam layer that cushions the body. This combination helps manage blunt impacts to the ribs and lower back without adding excessive bulk that could restrict movement on the field.

• High-impact plastic outer shell deflects and spreads force
• Foam padding reduces peak pressure against the body
• Wrap-around design covers ribs and lower back for broader protection

Will this interfere with mobility or player movement?

The protector is engineered for minimal interference: its wrap-around profile follows torso contours and the foam core keeps weight low. The adjustable front closure and multiple attachment heights allow players to position the unit so it protects without restricting arm swing or shoulder rotation.

• Low-profile shape aims to preserve shoulder and torso movement
• Lightweight construction minimizes added load during play
• Customizable height placement prevents pinching or binding

How do I choose the right size and maintain the protector?

Size M fits players whose shoulder pad measurements align with CHAMPRO's medium pad sizing—check your shoulder pad size first to confirm compatibility. To clean, wipe the outer shell and foam with mild soap and water; avoid machine washing. Inspect mounting hardware and grommets regularly and tighten or replace as needed.

• Select size to match your shoulder pad size (M for medium pads)
• Wipe clean with mild soap and water; air dry away from heat
• Check attachment hardware and grommets before each season
