Earth Pak 5L Waterproof Dry Bag, Clear, Roll-Top Marine Sack for Kayaking with IPX8 Phone Case

Earth Pak 5L Waterproof Dry Bag is a compact, roll-top marine sack designed to keep essentials dry during kayaking, paddleboarding, boating, and other water activities.

This lightweight 5-liter dry bag from Earth Pak combines abrasion-resistant 500D PVC fabric with a reliable roll-top seal and an included IPX8 waterproof phone case to protect valuables on lakes, rivers, and coastal trips. Small enough to stow on a kayak or paddleboard yet roomy for a phone, keys, wallet and a compact rain jacket, it’s built for repeated use and backed by the brand’s five-year warranty.

How does the 5L size fit into a typical day on the water?

The 5L capacity is ideal for short outings where you only need to protect a few essential items. It won’t replace a weekend bag, but it keeps critical gear dry and organized within reach while paddling.

• Holds a phone (inside the included IPX8 case), wallet, keys, sunscreen and small snacks.
• Small profile fits under kayak seats, in bow storage, or tied to a paddleboard D-ring.
• Lightweight design minimizes bulk and won’t interfere with balance or movement.

Will this dry sack truly keep my phone safe during splashes and brief submersion?

The product ships with an IPX8-rated waterproof phone case sized for screens up to 6.5 inches and featuring dual clear windows for touchscreen use and photography. With the roll-top fully secured and the case sealed, your phone and small electronics remain protected from splashes, rain and brief immersion.

• IPX8 case supports underwater exposure and clear visibility for photos.
• Dual windows let you operate the touchscreen and frame shots from a kayak or board.
• Recommended to test the case before critical excursions to ensure proper sealing.

What materials and construction make this dry bag dependable on rough water?

The 5L Earth Pak dry bag uses 500D PVC fabric that resists abrasions, tears and UV exposure better than thinner fabrics. The roll-top closure creates a tight, waterproof barrier when secured, and reinforced seams help the bag stand up to frequent use.

• Durable 500D PVC withstands contact with rocks, docks and gear.
• Roll-top closure forms a watertight seal when rolled and clipped.
• Reinforced stitching and welded seams increase longevity in marine settings.

How easy is it to carry and attach this bag while paddling?

At 5 liters, the bag is intentionally compact and very portable—easy to clip to a D-ring, stash inside cockpit space, or carry with a short strap. Larger Earth Pak sizes offer shoulder and backpack-style straps, but the 5L focuses on minimalism and convenience.

• Lightweight and packable for easy stowage on boards and boats.
• Attachment loops let you secure the bag with a carabiner or tie-down for stability.
• Quick-roll opening allows fast access without fumbling while on the water.

Who this is for: The Earth Pak 5L Waterproof Dry Bag is aimed at day paddlers, anglers, beachgoers and anyone who needs a reliable, compact waterproof solution for essentials. It’s a strong pick for people who want durable protection without extra bulk—ideal as a personal gear bag for short trips or as a supplementary dry pocket alongside larger luggage.
