Franklin Sports Aluminum Pickleball Paddle X-Factor – USAPA Approved, Comfort Grip for Players & Paddle Sports

The Franklin Sports X-Factor aluminum pickleball paddle is a USAPA-approved, dual-aluminum plate paddle engineered for consistent pop, broad sweet spot, and balanced control for players of all levels.

Built to deliver a lively rebound and steady feel, the X-Factor blends rigid aluminum faces with a protective outer rim and a non-slip comfort grip. Its edgeless profile improves maneuverability while the reinforced casing reduces cosmetic damage from routine play. Whether you’re practicing volleys or stepping into tournament brackets, this paddle emphasizes dependable performance without sacrificing control.

How does the X-Factor affect power and ball response?

The paddle’s twin aluminum plates create a snappy, responsive surface that returns more energy to the ball than softer-face paddles. That translates into crisper drives and easier placement on mid-court shots while still allowing for controlled touch around the net.

• Dual plated aluminum faces for higher rebound and consistent pop
• Edgeless design contributing to balanced swing weight
• Optimized sweet spot for predictable returns across the hitting surface

Will this paddle help my control at the net and in dinking situations?

Yes—the combination of a forgiving sweet spot and a tactile, non-slip grip improves touch during short, strategic exchanges. The paddle’s balance and surface stiffness let you modulate pace without losing accuracy.

• Comfort grip reduces slippage for precise wrist action
• Moderate paddle weight (7.7–7.9 oz) aids in quick reaction at the net
• Edge protection maintains shape for steady response over time

Is the X-Factor legal for tournament play and what about durability?

The X-Factor meets USA Pickleball (USAPA) standards, so it’s approved for sanctioned events. Durability comes from the aluminum construction paired with a protective plastic surround that guards against chips and dents during regular use.

• USAPA approved for tournament eligibility
• Plastic rim casing defends against impact damage
• Sturdy build for continued performance through frequent play

What can I expect in terms of grip, weight, and handling?

The paddle weighs between 7.7 and 7.9 ounces, striking a balance between stability and speedy handling. Its ergonomically shaped, non-slip grip helps you sustain longer rallies with less hand fatigue and better control over placement.

• Comfort grip for a secure hold and reduced vibration
• Balanced weight range for versatile play styles
• Slim profile for tighter maneuvering on quick exchanges

Who is this for: Players seeking an all-around aluminum paddle that performs in both casual play and competitive settings will appreciate the X-Factor. It’s well suited to intermediate players who want increased power without losing accuracy, recreational players who value durability, and tournament competitors who require USAPA approval. If you want a responsive, well-protected paddle with a reliable grip and a broad sweet spot, the Franklin Sports X-Factor is a strong choice.
