Franklin Sports X-40 USAPA pickleballs, Optic Yellow, 400 Pack — tournament-grade durable outdoor balls

Franklin Sports X-40 are USAPA-approved, seamless one-piece pickleballs engineered for consistent flight, durable outdoor play, and high visibility.

The Franklin Sports X-40 pickleballs are built to meet the demands of both competitive tournaments and everyday recreation. Designed with 40 precision-drilled holes and a single-piece polyethylene shell, these optic-colored balls balance predictable spin and stable trajectory with durability across concrete, asphalt, and standard pickleball courts. Their approved dimensions and weight make them suitable for sanctioned events while remaining user-friendly for club and casual play.

What characteristics make the X-40 reliable for tournament and recreational play?

The X-40 follows official size and weight specifications, so it performs like the balls used in high-level events. Its machine-drilled holes and uniform construction help maintain even airflow and reduce unpredictable wobble.

• USAPA-approved size (74mm) and official weight (26g)
• 40 precision-drilled holes for consistent flight and spin
• Seamless, single-piece polyethylene shell for stable bounce and durability

How will these pickleballs hold up on different court surfaces?

The X-40’s one-piece design gives it greater resistance to scuffs and surface wear, making it especially suited for outdoor courts. While optimized for average temperatures and authentic pickleball courts, these balls still perform well on concrete and asphalt for frequent players and park use.

• Durable polyethylene material resists cracking and abrasions
• Constructed to endure outdoor surfaces such as concrete and asphalt
• Designed for consistent play across multiple surface types

How do the X-40 balls help visibility and shot control during rallies?

Optic colors and a clear, uniform shell profile make the ball easier to track from baseline to net. The precise hole pattern stabilizes flight, improving predictability for volleys, dinks, and drives so players can better anticipate ball behavior.

• High-contrast optic colors for easier tracking in varied light
• 40-hole pattern promotes tight spin and balanced flight
• Uniform shell reduces odd bounces for improved control

How many balls are included and who typically uses a 400-pack?

The 400-pack supplies leagues, clubs, schools, and tournament organizers with a large, consistent inventory. Bulk packaging reduces the need for frequent restocking and ensures all play sessions use the same approved ball model.

• 400 balls per pack for extended club, camp, or tournament use
• Cost-effective choice for organizers and high-volume players
• Uniform model across matches ensures consistent play standards
