Giro Ledge Snow Helmet — Matte Trail Green, Size M (55.5–59 cm) with Auto Loc 2 Fit

The Giro Ledge is a hard-shell snow helmet in matte trail green that combines rugged impact protection with a self-adjusting Auto Loc 2 fit for reliable all-mountain use.

Built to balance value, comfort, and compatibility, the Ledge packs a tough outer shell bonded to EPS foam, a user-friendly three-position Auto Loc 2 fit system, and strategic vents that work with goggles to reduce fogging. Its removable ear pads and goggle retainer make it adaptable for varying weather and gear setups, while compatibility with Giro EXV goggles simplifies pairing for consistent fit and visibility.

How does the Ledge provide dependable protection on the mountain?

The Ledge uses a hard-shell construction where a durable outer layer is attached to an energy-absorbing EPS liner. This structure disperses impact forces while keeping manufacturing costs lower than multi-piece designs, delivering a strong, reliable shield for recreational skiers and snowboarders.

• Hard-shell outer layer bonded to EPS foam for controlled impact absorption.
• Removable ear pads for adaptable coverage in varied conditions.
• Meets standard helmet safety requirements for alpine sports (check local standards).

What makes the fit system easy to use and adjustable on the fly?

The removable Auto Loc 2 Fit System offers a self-adjusting elastic back band combined with fixed-position straps that cradle the head in three circumference settings. Vertical tuning lets you adjust the helmet’s position relative to goggles without taking it off, simplifying mid-run tweaks and improving comfort.

• Auto Loc 2 provides three circumference settings for personalized fit.
• Elastic fit band creates a secure, even hold around the head.
• On-the-fly vertical tuning adjusts helmet/goggle alignment quickly.

How does ventilation and goggle integration reduce fogging?

Front Stack Venting aligns with the goggle frame to channel airflow across the lens, while Super Cool vents on the top encourage hot air to escape. This coordinated airflow helps limit lens fogging and maintains a clearer field of vision during active days.

• Stack Vent positioned to align with goggles for effective airflow.
• Super Cool vents vent warm air out through the crown of the helmet.
• Removable goggle retainer keeps strap secure and correctly positioned.

Which goggles and accessories work best with the Ledge?

Giro designs helmets and goggles to pair precisely; the Ledge is optimized for Giro Axis, Ella, and Blok goggles for seamless fit and sightlines. It also accepts aftermarket Giro-compatible audio systems, expanding on-mountain convenience without compromising fit.

• Seamless compatibility with Giro Axis, Ella, and Blok goggle models.
• Removable ear pads allow headset or audio accessory use.
• Supports aftermarket Giro audio systems for music and calls.
