Giro Vanquish Shield magnetic visor — Onyx Carl Zeiss Vivid Road lens, One Size

Engineered as an accessory for the Giro Vanquish Mips adult helmet, this shield swaps in quickly using a magnetic interface and delivers Carl Zeiss optical quality tuned for road conditions. The Onyx lens optimizes contrast and reduces glare to help riders read the road faster, while the one-size fit and tool-free attachment make it practical for training and racing days.

How does the magnetic interface simplify lens changes?

The shield uses strong alignment magnets to snap securely into the Vanquish helmet frame, eliminating fiddly clips or screws. That means fast swaps on the roadside or between sessions without tools.

• Tool-free installation and removal in seconds
• Positive alignment reduces risk of misfit or rattling
• Durable magnetic mounts designed for repeated use

What optical benefits does the Carl Zeiss Vivid Road Onyx lens provide?

Carl Zeiss optics are tuned to boost contrast and sharpen detail across tarmac and trail edges, making surface texture and obstacles more visible. The Vivid Road tint balances light transmission for bright and variable daylight, helping you detect cracks, markings, and shadows sooner.

• High-clarity Zeiss glass/plastic optical construction
• Onyx tint reduces glare and improves contrast in sunlight
• Wide field of view for enhanced peripheral visibility

Will this shield fit my Vanquish Mips helmet and perform in changing conditions?

The shield is explicitly built for Giro Vanquish Mips adult helmets and installs with the matching magnetic interface for a secure fit. The lens performance is optimized for road cycling daylight use; its tint and coating help with bright light and reflected glare, though extreme low-light performance will be reduced compared to clear lenses.

• Compatible with Giro Vanquish Mips adult helmet models
• One-size shield designed to match helmet geometry
• Recommended primarily for road cycling and daylight conditions

How durable and serviceable is the shield?

Materials and mounting are chosen for daily riding and frequent swaps; the magnetic connection reduces wear points compared with mechanical clips. Routine cleaning and careful storage will preserve lens coatings and optical quality for a long service life.

• Robust lens coatings resist smudges and light scratches
• Magnetic mounts minimize mechanical stress on attachment points
• Easy to clean with lens cloths and mild solutions; store in a protective pouch

Who is this for? The Giro Vanquish Shield Onyx is aimed at road cyclists who already use the Vanquish Mips helmet and want a high-quality, quick-change visor option. It suits riders seeking Carl Zeiss-level optics, glare control, and a convenient magnetic attachment for training, group rides, and racing in bright to variable daylight conditions.
