HEAD Speed PRO 2022 Tennis Racquet, White, Size 3/8 — 100 in² Control, Auxetic Feel

HEAD Speed PRO 2022 is a control-oriented 100 in² tennis racquet engineered for advanced players who demand fast swings and precise shot-making.

The Speed PRO 2022 refresh keeps the series' reputation for quick maneuverability while introducing Auxetic construction for enhanced feel. Its updated asymmetric matte-and-gloss finish with chrome accents signals a modern, refined look, and the head and balance specifications are tuned to give tournament-level competitors predictable control at high racquet head speeds.

How does the Speed PRO 2022 improve feel and responsiveness on impact?

The racquet's new Auxetic construction adjusts the frame's deformation pattern to transmit a clearer, more connected sensation between ball and hand. Players will notice crisper feedback on both flat drives and touch volleys without sacrificing frame stability.

• Auxetic construction for refined vibration management and touch
• 310 g unstrung weight (10.9 oz) for balanced inertia and control
• 18/20 string pattern to combine bite and even response across the stringbed

Will this racquet help me control fast-paced baseline rallies?

Yes—the Speed PRO 2022 is designed to prioritize directional accuracy when you swing quickly. Its 100 in² head and 315 mm (1 in HL) balance provide a low-profile, controllable hitting zone that rewards clean technique and decisive swings.

• 645 cm² / 100 in² head size for predictable dispersion
• 315 mm balance (1 in head light) for faster handling and better maneuverability
• 23 mm beam for a thin profile that aids precision on drives

What are the technical specs I should know before buying?

This model arrives unstrung with tournament-ready dimensions and a player-weight feel. The combination of weight, length, and string pattern makes it a natural fit for aggressive, control-minded competitors rather than recreational or beginner players.

• Weight (unstrung): 310 g / 10.9 oz
• String pattern: 18/20 for spin control and consistent response
• Head size: 645 cm² / 100 in²; Length: 685 mm / 27.0 in
• Balance: 315 mm / 1 in head light; Beam: 23 mm

How does the design affect on-court presence and durability?

The racquet's updated aesthetic blends matte and glossy finishes with chrome detailing to create a premium, professional look that matches high-performance hardware. The frame's construction choices also aim to maintain structural integrity across intense, repeated use.

• Elegant asymmetric visual design for a modern, pro-grade appearance
• Matte and glossy finish with chrome highlights for refined court presence
• Robust frame engineering built for tournament-level play and repeated impact

Who is this for: The HEAD Speed PRO 2022 is best suited for advanced and tournament players who generate their own pace and want a racquet emphasizing directional control, crisp feel, and quick handling. If you favor precise baseline strokes, rapid reaction volleys, and a responsive connection to the ball, this racquet matches that profile. It is less appropriate for beginners or players who need extra power or a larger sweet spot.
