KAP K7 SEVEN HydroGrip Water Polo Ball Size 5 Yellow/Black — NCAA & NFHS Official, Water-Reactive Grip

Built from KAP7's proprietary materials and assembly techniques, the HydroGrip delivers a textured, water-reactive surface and precision-wound core to meet collegiate and high-school rules. Its design balances tactile control with long-term resilience so teams and players can trust the ball for practices, scrimmages, and official matches. The yellow/black colorway enhances visibility in pool conditions while remaining compliant with governing bodies.

How does the HydroGrip improve ball control in wet conditions?

The HydroGrip uses a water-reactant grip that actually becomes tackier when wet, giving players a more predictable hold during passes and shots. Factory hand-buffing of the surface further refines texture and feel, helping reduce fumbles and slips in game situations.

• Water-reactant textured outer for enhanced tack when wet
• Hand-buffed finish to optimize touch and release
• Consistent surface pattern for repeatable grip across the ball

Is this ball competition-legal for college and high school play?

Yes—the KAP7 HydroGrip Size 5 is authenticated by NFHS and designated as the official NCAA women's water polo game ball. It was engineered to meet size, weight, and performance specifications required by those organizations.

• NCAA-approved for women's collegiate competition
• NFHS authenticated for high-school girls' play
• Manufactured to comply with official size 5 dimensions and weight

What construction features make this ball durable?

The inner carcass uses precision-wound nylon to maintain roundness and air retention, while the outer compound resists abrasion from pool decks and lane lines. Together these elements extend usable life and keep performance consistent after repeated practices and games.

• Precision-wound nylon carcass for shape and stability
• Robust outer material engineered for abrasion resistance
• Even air retention to reduce frequent reinflation needs

Can players choose different colors and what does the yellow/black offer?

KAP7 offers color variants so teams can pick a ball that matches their kit or improves visibility in their pool. The yellow/black colorway used here provides high contrast for quick tracking in bright or low-light conditions while remaining regulation-compliant.

• Team-friendly color choices for identity and visibility
• Yellow/black offers superior contrast on water
• Color-fast materials help maintain appearance over time
