LeCool Football Back Plate Lower Back Protector for Youth - Chrome Blue, Hard-Shell with Contoured Foam

LeCool Football Back Plate in Chrome Blue is a hard-shell lower-back protector with contoured foam that snaps onto shoulder pads to shield the spine area while keeping athletes comfortable.

Built for practices and game days, this lower-back plate combines a rigid outer shell with impact-absorbing contoured foam to reduce force transfer to the lumbar area. The curved profile follows the shape of a player’s back so the pad sits flush against shoulder-pad shells and moves with the body. Hardware is included for quick attachment, and the high-gloss chrome blue finish adds a polished look on the field.

How does this back plate protect without limiting movement?

The design uses a firm outer surface to deflect direct hits while internal contoured foam dissipates energy across a wider area. The curvature is shaped to match the natural lumbar curve, keeping the protector close to the body so it doesn’t catch or shift during play.

• Curved hard shell channels impact away from the spine.
• Contoured, high-impact foam cushions and disperses forces.
• Low-profile fit preserves range of motion for drills and tackles.
• Secure mounting minimizes unwanted movement during play.

What sizes and athlete levels will this fit?

The LeCool back plate is made to integrate with most standard shoulder-pad systems and is suitable for both youth and adult players. Its adaptable shape and mounting hardware accommodate a range of pad sizes so teams, coaches, and individual athletes can match it to their gear.

• Compatible with common youth and adult shoulder-pad configurations.
• Universal-fit mounting hardware included for easy installation.
• Contoured profile adapts to different torso shapes.
• Available finish choices let teams coordinate colors.

How easy is installation and maintenance for teams and players?

Installation is straightforward—each back plate ships with the fasteners and instructions needed to attach directly to shoulder-pad shells. The high-gloss shell wipes clean and the foam interior resists lingering odors with routine airing; no specialty tools or lengthy breaks are required.

• Comes with all necessary hardware and simple instructions.
• Quick attach/detach for practice or transport.
• Wipeable shell surface for fast cleanup between sessions.
• Air out foam after heavy use to preserve freshness.

Who is this for? Players and teams looking for reliable lower-back protection without sacrificing mobility will benefit from the LeCool Football Back Plate. It’s a practical choice for youth leagues, high school and adult amateur teams, and individual athletes who want a low-profile, durable protector that pairs with standard shoulder-pad systems. The chrome blue finish adds a crisp visual upgrade for those who value both function and style on the field.
