McDavid mens 7-Pad 3/4 Compression Football Tights, Black, Size XX-Large — Hip, Thigh & Tailbone Protection

Designed for competitive athletes who need coverage without bulk, these 3/4-length tights combine high-density EVA foam pads and low-profile hard-shell thigh guards into a single compressive layer. The integrated 7-pad layout covers key impact zones—hips, thighs, tailbone and knees—while flatlock seams and stretch fabric keep the fit snug and comfortable under game pants. The cup pocket (cup sold separately) and compliant hard-shell design meet common high-school game regulations, making these tights work-ready for practices and matches.

How do these tights protect key impact areas during play?

The Rival 7-pad configuration places padded panels exactly where collisions and falls typically occur, reducing direct force to muscle and bone. Hard-shell thigh guards add an extra barrier on top of the foam pads for high-impact tackles, while the tailbone and hip foam help disperse contact energy.

• Seven strategically positioned pads: both hips, both thighs, tailbone and both knees
• High-density EVA foam for shock absorption and durability
• Anatomically shaped hard-shell thigh guards for added impact resistance
• Cup pocket included; cup sold separately for groin protection

Will these tights stay comfortable through a full game?

Yes—the fabric blend and construction focus on breathability and a secure fit so athletes can move freely. Six-thread flatlock seams reduce chafing and reinforce high-stress areas, and the polyester/spandex mix wicks moisture while maintaining compression.

• Polyester and spandex shell for stretch and moisture management
• 6-thread flatlock seams for durable, low-profile stitching
• Lightweight compression that supports muscles without restricting motion
• Machine-washable materials for easy care between uses

Are these tights legal for high school football and other sports?

The thigh guards are built to meet common high-school football equipment regulations, and the tight’s overall design suits a variety of contact sports. Coaches and officials should verify local league rules, but the hard-shell thigh guards and integrated pad layout are intended to comply with standard play requirements.

• Hard-shell thigh guards designed to conform to high-school rules
• Integrated pad layout appropriate for football and lacrosse
• Cup pocket provided; add a regulation cup if required
• Trusted McDavid build used by athletes across levels

How should I care for and maintain these compression tights?

Routine machine washing keeps the fabric and pads clean without special treatment—follow typical cold-wash, tumble-dry-low guidelines to preserve fit and padding integrity. Inspect pads and seams regularly for wear and replace if padding compresses excessively or stitching fails.

• Materials: polyester, spandex and EVA foam
• Machine-washable; follow garment label for temperature and drying
• Avoid bleach and fabric softeners to protect padding and fabric stretch
• Check seams and pad condition after heavy use; replace if compromised

Who is this for: Athletes who play contact sports and want integrated pad coverage without the bulk of separate protective gear. These tights suit football players, lacrosse competitors and anyone needing targeted impact protection at hips, thighs, tailbone and knees while maintaining a compressive, breathable fit beneath game pants. Ideal for players looking for durable, game-ready protection that’s easy to care for and conforms to common competition standards.
