Mitre IMPEL One soccer ball, Impel One - Fluo Yellow/Black/Bib Red, Size 4 — youth training, soft-touch 6-panel

The Mitre IMPEL ONE is a soft-touch, 6-panel training soccer ball engineered for consistent flight and durable practice on grass or AstroTurf.

Designed to help young players and coaches build passing, dribbling and shooting skills, the IMPEL ONE blends an updated 6-panel shell with soft foam and Hyperflow moulded grooves for predictable trajectory and improved ball feel. Its compound—59% rubber, 16% polyester, 18% foam and 7% TPU—adds toughness without sacrificing touch, and an air-retention bladder keeps inflation steady between sessions. The ball ships deflated for easier delivery and inflates quickly with any standard Mitre sports pump.

How does the Mitre IMPEL ONE improve training consistency?

The IMPEL ONE uses Hyperflow grooves and a simplified 6-panel layout to reduce random swerve and stabilise flight paths. This consistency makes repetition drills and passing exercises more reliable so players get clearer feedback on technique.

• Moulded Hyperflow grooves for stable trajectory
• 6-panel construction reduces unpredictable spin
• Soft-touch foam gives repeatable control on first contact
• Balanced weight distribution for consistent kicking feel

Is this ball durable enough for regular practices on grass and AstroTurf?

The IMPEL ONE’s material blend and reinforced construction improve durability by roughly 10% compared with earlier models, making it a robust choice for frequent training. It stands up to the scuffs and abrasion typical of team sessions while maintaining surface integrity.

• 59% rubber mix improves tear and abrasion resistance
• Polyester and TPU layers add structural strength
• Foam overlay preserves a soft touch despite wear
• Air-retention bladder reduces need for frequent re-inflation

What playing surfaces and age groups is the IMPEL ONE best suited for?

This ball is optimized for grass and AstroTurf and is sized and weighted for youth and junior training sessions. Its lightweight, forgiving feel makes it a good fit for kids developing ball-handling skills and for coaches running skill-building drills.

• Recommended for grass and Astro surfaces
• Ideal for children, youth teams, and beginner-to-intermediate players
• Works for both individual practice and group training
• Lightweight profile supports technical development

How easy is it to inflate and maintain the ball?

The IMPEL ONE ships deflated to reduce shipping size; inflate with a standard Mitre pump or compatible sports pump in minutes. Regular pressure checks and avoiding prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures will help preserve performance and air retention.

• Arrives deflated for convenient shipping and storage
• Compatible with Mitre sports pumps and standard needle inflators
• Air-retention bladder helps maintain pressure between sessions
• Wipe-clean surface for quick maintenance after use

It suits grassroots programmes, school PE lessons and club training, offering consistent flight, predictable control and a build designed to handle regular practice on grass or AstroTurf. If you want a practice ball engineered to help young players build technique without frequent replacement, the IMPEL ONE aims to deliver that middle ground between performance and value.
