Mizuno Prospect Finch Youth Softball Glove White/Black/Pink Trident Web 11.5" Ages 9-10 Left Hand Throw

The Mizuno GPP1155F3 Prospect Finch is an 11.5" youth softball glove designed with Jennie Finch input, combining full-grain leather, a pigskin back, and breathable Air Mesh for durable, comfortable catching.

Built to introduce young players to higher-quality gear, this Prospect Finch Series glove brings professional-level details to a size suited for developing hands. Mizuno collaborated with Jennie Finch to tune fit, feel, and breaking-in traits so beginners and intermediate players gain confidence while learning fundamental fielding skills. The glove balances a durable full-grain leather palm with a soft PU palm liner and an Air Mesh back to keep weight low and movement easy during practice and games.

How does the glove's construction make catching easier?

The glove pairs a full-grain leather palm for reliable pocket formation with a butter-soft palm liner that improves comfort and control on contact. The pigskin back adds structure without excess stiffness, while the overall 11.5" profile gives a forgiving catching surface for youth players learning to secure balls.

• Full-grain leather palm for durable pocket shaping
• PU palm liner for softer feel and longer liner life
• Pigskin back for supportive structure with reduced break-in time
• 11.5" size tuned for youth infield and outfield practice

What features improve fit and breathability for young athletes?

The Air Mesh back increases ventilation and flexibility, letting fingers move freely and reducing heat buildup during extended drills. An ergonomic cut and Jennie Finch–inspired shaping help the glove sit naturally on smaller hands so players can close the pocket without fighting a stiff wrist.

• Air Mesh back panels to boost airflow and flex
• Contoured finger stalls for easier closure and control
• Right-hand throw orientation clearly indicated for correct hand use
• Lightweight construction to prevent arm fatigue during long sessions

How durable is this glove for frequent practice?

Durability is prioritized with a full-grain leather palm and pigskin back that withstand repeated catches and tugs. The PU palm liner resists wear while preserving a soft, responsive touch; together these materials extend useful life compared with economy youth gloves.

• Full-grain leather resists abrasion and maintains pocket shape
• Pigskin back offers structural durability with flexible movement
• PU palm liner adds protection against liner breakdown
• Mizuno design input from Jennie Finch ensures practical, game-ready construction

What should I know about sizing and hand orientation?

This model is 11.5" and sized for youth players who need a versatile glove for multiple positions. The listed Right Hand option is worn on the left hand (Right Hand Throw), so pick orientation based on which hand your child throws with to ensure correct fit and field performance.

• 11.5" overall length suitable for youth infield/outfield use
• Right Hand Throw = glove worn on left hand; choose by throw hand
• Break-in period shortened by pigskin back and soft liner
• Designed with Jennie Finch input for age-appropriate shape

Who is this for? The Mizuno GPP1155F3 Prospect Finch glove fits youth players transitioning from beginner mitts to more serious equipment—kids who need a forgiving pocket, breathable construction, and materials that last through season-long practice. It's ideal for young athletes seeking a high-quality, game-capable glove that still allows easy closing and comfortable repeated use without the heavy break-in typical of adult gloves.
