MSR DromLite Bag hydration reservoir, 2‑Liter, ultralight RF‑welded with MSR 3‑in‑1 cap

The MSR DromLite 2‑liter is a featherweight, RF‑welded hydration reservoir that stores two liters of water and collapses down to the size of its cap for ultra‑packable trail hydration.

Engineered for hikers, backpackers, and fast‑moving outdoor users, the DromLite Bag combines minimal weight with robust construction. Its laminated film body and RF‑welded seams keep the weight low while resisting punctures and handling freezing conditions. A BPA‑free food‑grade lining helps preserve taste, and the included MSR 3‑in‑1 cap makes filling, pouring and drinking straightforward on the trail.

How compact and light is the 2‑liter DromLite for backpacking?

The 2‑liter DromLite was designed to disappear in your pack: it weighs just 4.6 ounces and folds flat to roughly the size of its cap when empty. That small profile frees room for other gear and reduces pack bulk on long routes.

• Weight: 4.6 ounces (130 g)
• Filled capacity: 2 liters (approx. 67 fl oz)
• Collapsed size: compresses down to cap dimensions for minimal storage
• Dimensions (filled): 8.5 x 15.6 inches

Is the DromLite durable enough for rugged use and cold weather?

Yes — the DromLite uses a tough laminated film with a rugged exterior and RF‑welded seams for long life under trail conditions. The construction tolerates freezing temperatures better than thin bladders, and the robust materials resist abrasions and punctures.

• Exterior: reinforced laminated film with 1,000‑Denier toughness
• Seams: radio‑frequency welded for leak resistance
• Cold performance: lining and film designed to handle freezing without immediate failure
• Made in the USA with a three‑year limited warranty

How do I fill, drink from, and maintain the reservoir?

The included MSR 3‑in‑1 cap simplifies every step: open wide to pour or refill, use the pour position to decant water into a cup, and switch to the drink setting when thirsty. The wide mouth allows easy cleaning and the BPA‑free food‑grade lining helps keep water tasting neutral.

• Cap: MSR 3‑in‑1 for filling, pouring, and drinking
• Cleaning: wide opening for hand washing and air drying
• Hose compatibility: works with MSR hydration kits and accessories
• Materials: BPA‑free food‑grade lining for better taste

What sizes and accessories are available with the DromLite line?

The DromLite family comes in three capacities to suit different outings: 2L, 4L, and 6L, each maintaining the same low weight and collapsible benefit. MSR also offers Shower and Hydration Kits that attach to the bag for expanded functionality on longer trips or backcountry camp setups.

• Available sizes: 2L (8.5 x 15.6 in, 4.6 oz), 4L (10 x 18.3 in, 5.1 oz), 6L (11.3 x 20.6 in, 5.7 oz)
